Also in my head stuck has been 'Le Pain Perdu' and 'White Pepper Ice Cream' by Cibo Matto.

Later on in the dream I heard Fantomas's 'Page 4' or '10' or '12' or '16' and a song from Mike Patton's 'Adult Themes For Voice' (possibly) album on TV, so I will be listening to those afterwards.

Adult themes is an evil album.

Once, a certain person sent me a song from it, Porno Holocaust. I had the volume up on my speakers, and when I pressed play, it scared me so much I fell off my chair and began flailing around like a madman to get the speakers off.

You know who you are, evil bastard.

Last time I heard it, one of my friends had copied it onto an MP3 cd for his car, so we rolled our windows down and played it through his $2000+ car stereo, while we were waiting at a stop-light. The people around us were visibly startled and a few of them beeped their horns at us

Help!

to be honest with you, 'eyen' is pretty much the best song plaid has putted out, IMO. it's from their 'double figure' album, which is pretty nice. Plaid is not THAT interesting thought, IMO, it's sometimes pretty blend and shit. I dunno why, I like the stuff they did with Bjork, but sometimes it's just too easy.

I think that their latest one called 'spokes' is pretty electronica and weird compared to their older recordings so I guess this one is probably interesting to check out. I've heard bits of that album and it sounded interesting.

anyways, hope this helps... now, I'm listening to bits of the new Herbaliser album on bleep.com. it sounds not bad, but I get that weird déjÃ*-vu feeling... I'm glad I haven't bought that suddenly when it came out.

Haha, I hate that. Just posting "Artist - Title" and leaving it at that makes one's post feel empty.

And now I'm listening to something my dear friends criticize me for. Milla Jovovich's album, The Divine Comedy.

Yes, I know what you're thinking. Stupid actress trying to make a go of a musical career. But not only was she making music before she became an actress, this is actually good music. I'm sure she didn't write much of it herself, the lyrics she did write are often a bit corny. But as pop music goes, it's great. Especially the last song, which I am currently listening to. It's a traditional Ukranian folk song, and music with unintelligible lyrics always sounds good.

Fall of the Grey-Winged One – Emptines

To make this post seem less pointless, I’ll try and describe this song.

This song starts of with the rumbling of an overly distorted bass. Around one and a half minutes in it's joined by another overly distorted bass play higher notes, or maybe an over distorted guitar play extremely low notes; not sure which. Then, at two and a half minutes, some sort of watery ambient effect comes in, with a piano playing the highest notes every now and again. This continues for around fifteen minutes, the ambient thing and the piano gradually getting louder and louder, until it finally fades out, leaving just the (bass) guitars. But don't fear, two minutes later it's back again, and about ten minutes later the second bass (or guitar) gives a few hiccups and dies. A minute later and the original bass quietens down 'till it's near unhearable (unless you have the volume up), soon after which the ambient/piano fades out. So we're left with the really quiet bass, which is briefly joined by the guitar (or second bass) after a few minutes, before finally dwindling into silence, at a time of 36 minutes and 53 seconds.

Did it work?

I just don't think it's enough to say what specific song you're listening to at the exact time of posting.
So instead I post the songs that I am most enjoying around the general time of posting.
This provides the reader with a more accurate idea of my listening habits at any given moment.
Because the rules don't apply to me.

...Oh!

I'm listening to cLOUDDEAD.
They are perhaps the most actually-original groups since a long time unless I am forgetting some others.
Hip-Hop is what they fall under, but it's really just a throwaway label for references sake.

...Oh! (Again.)
Ra has been saying that he will release a new EP and LP this year, but I never really realised how close the end of the year is!
Chances are he'll have to delay the LP, but if not, that's something for me to be excited about!

Ra is officially an artist I can call "mine".
I mean this in that I have been a follower from the start of his music, and will take it upon myself to buy all of his music (if for no other reason than almost nobody file-shares him (and even if they did, a search for 'Ra' would turn up almost every song out there.))
Plus I found him myself!
I'm glad he's excellent!
