Hmm... Tough choice indeed. Asarien thinks he was more about the Genesis.

SNES. I would never say the other inferior console, even though it is 4 times better than any this generation console. Nothing will replace my childhood memories. I picked up a Super Mario Super Show DVD yesterday in Safeways with a few of my mates with me. They laughed, but I laughed harder when watching it at home. Classic days.

Genesis. Who could beat Sega channel that day? Certainly not Super Nintendo.

Hey now, Nintendo also went online.

i prefer super nintendo because of the nostalgia factor but genesis was equally as good, i just never played it that much.

Not like Sega Channel did.

Genesis beats the living shit out of SNES until it cries.
And it had better sound and a faster processor and a higher resoulution, despite it coming out 2 years earlier.

Graphics never really mattered to me back then. Find me a game with better looks than Donkey Kong Country.

DKC is one of the best looking 16-bit games. SNES displayed more colors than the Genny and that's why.
SNES games look better in static images, but often slowdown and flicker in motion. The Genesis has a smaller color pallette, but almost twice the processing speed, so you'd rarely see slowdown in a Genesis game, unless there was a LOT happening on screen at once (like when playing Gunstar Heroes in 2 player co-op).

I hate the Genesis controller.
I hate it.

I love it. The official 6-button controller is the second best standard fighting game controller, right behind the Saturn's. The D-pad is great for QCFs and HCBs.
I enjoyed the games on Super Nintendo more than many this-gen games.

I do agree on the sound though. Sonic music was awesome.

The music was the best part of Sonic The Hedgehog games.

As did I. For this reason I am looking to purchase an SNES that is in working order. If anyone wants to sell thiers, contact me. If not, I'll hit up eBay.
I never did like the Genesis, the controller feels so cheap, and most its games are meh.

I don't even know why I have my vote on SNES. I remember playing the genises everyday. http://www.espiokaos.com/midis/s2_sg_35.mid

Like when playing sonic and you stepped on a spike and all your rings went flying everywhere, the game would take a shit. I thought that kind of stuff would be fixed in the gamecube port of the sonic collection. But nothing was fixed. Bastards at Sega.

well, the Games on Sonic Mega Collection are emulated. Not Ported.
And It really only slows down in splitscreen. Either way, that's only one example, and understandably, because it's a lot going on on screen.

You made my day GW with that music, thank you.
I loved my Genesis dearly.

I think i played more genises because of games like Streets of Rage 1-3 and Sonic.
Although i did play alot of NBA Hangtime on SNES and alot of Final Fantasy 2 and Zelda ALttP. I didnt really have many genises games but everytime i rented a game it would be for the genises instead of the snes. Genises had better fighting games.

Snes was better. Anyone ever play The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare?

I could play Mega Collection, or I can play it for real on the Genesis. :smoke:
Genesis, mostly because I didn't own a SNES and never really got into it when I played it at my friends'.

SNES.
Better games, better memories, didn't hang-up when you moved it an inch, and a more magical expirience.
