Except that they own the rights to the name. Legally, they could force you to change your name. It happened with their original band name Witsend. They changed the name to Syzygy, and they own the rights to it.

well technically they could i guess if they were jerks. But we could just change our name to "Syzygy mi" and put the mi in insanely small font and what-not and people would still call us syzygy. cause there are too many bands, and the word syzygy isnt in most dictionaries haha

The music itself sounds cool, but it seems like the quality of the audio file is a bit shoddy...that, or you guys don't play loud enough. =P

I don't like it. But that's mainly because that genre of music isn't really my cup of tea. Looking past that, though, everything's pretty well put together, besides the vocals, which everyone has complained about.

I'll be honest with you, i think it sucks. Were are the guitar solo's? The singer sounds like shit. I think you need to get some distortion pedals and different effect pedals and change up during the song. I honestly wanted to stop listening after somewhere around the first 20 seconds. Someparts the drums and guitar do not go together at all, it's like you both are trying to play your own thing and not play together. Also the name needs changed, it sounds like a name for a one hit woner punk rock band.

I dont care what you say about 'oh that was one shitty time the singer had' he needs to go if you plan on getting any where.

Get a better recording and maybe I can tell better. Alot of the times you can't hear the guitar at all, you either need to turn your amp up or go to an actual recording studio.

i think we've already established that, which is why our singer is re-record a lot of the parts (especially the beginning and the quiet 6/8 part before the chorus), for now just work around that and listen to the music. a simple comment as "new singer please" is pretty offensive to me since he's been in our band for over 2 years and he is really the best singer i know.

the part at 3:25 or whatever, he starts beating fast, and then he just slows down again. If your going to start going fast bust out into some fast heavy shit. Kinda like the part at 3:45. He's a little too symbol/top hat happy. Also don't hear much bass drum, does he have a double bass pedal? Sounds like he's just hitting symbols pretty much throughout the entire song.
