Alongside Media Create’s weekly Japanese hardware sales, the latest Japanese software sales were also released. The week ending January 19th had Game Boy Advance at the top of the list with Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Ruby. This was followed by World Soccer Winning Eleven 6. Surprisingly enough, this week’s software charts saw Xbox Live make the top 10, ranking in sales of 17,500 units.

1. Pokemon Sapphire (GBA/Weekly: 47,200/Annual: 1,714,200)
2. Pokemon Ruby (GBA/Weekly: 46,600/Annual: 1,725,900)
3. World Soccer Winning Eleven 6 (PS2/Weekly: 25,600/Annual: 591,900)
4. Kingdom Hearts (PS2/Weekly: 23,800/Annual: 301,700)
5. Mega Man Battle Network 3 (GBA/Weekly: 21,500/Annual: 408,300)
6. Momotaro Railway 11 (PS2/Weekly: 20,800/Annual: 328,800)
7. Xbox Live (Xbox/Weekly: 17,500/Annual: 17,500)
8. Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (NGC/Weekly: 17,400/Annual: 724,900)
9. Jissen Pachislo Hisshouhou! Majuuoh S (PS2/Weekly: 16,700/Annual: 221,100)

I have reason to believe that sales have pretty much topped off for XBL... lol... are you aware of what's being released in two weeks in Japan?

XBL beat Zelda by 100. I doubt the source. Why is XBL even there. It's not a game.

According to IGN Japan, in two weeks is mainly:

Devil May Cry 2 (PS2)
Winning Eleven Final Edition (GCN)

The Winning Elevel series sell like hotcakes in Japan ... maybe they'll sell a few consoles.

I don't even care about Japan anymore, its the USA and European market that Nintendo needs to concentrate with.

Seems like Mario Party 4 is still putting up some respectable numbers.

I don't know...it's still pretty bad (well not necessarily BAD, but...) because it's a perihiperal restricted to Xbox owners with broadband. That's a very small number.
