Hell ya! I looked in my best buy ad from the newspaper, and there it was. $40 dollars of sweet sweet FPS heaven. Yep, $40. Dont spend that extra $10 on a fat ass controller and no online capabilities! MUAHAHAHAHA!!! It's mine!

Anyway, did anyone see any ads for halo pc? I didnt.

I think that they should have made a whole new game of halo for the computer since the game has already been played by everyone who plays games. I do not think that this halo game will hold out long for sales.

-Yes, online is a lot easier than through that gamespy thing.
-Not really, because you'd have to drop like $800 in upgrades or just buy a new top of the line computer to get graphics better than xbox. Regardless, its a more expensive system.
-Hell yeah. I refuse to play fps with a controller.
-eh, kinda. A lot of people are trying to host 16 player games on their shitty cable modem because they can in Counter-Strike. Because of that you get lag-fest. Halo is a resource hog and poorly designed pc port.

Gopherchux has a point. The xbox killer app is now on the PC, with the numerous advantages that Gunpie (sorry, the forum censors his real name) listed, and the price is forty dollars (or free depending on one's integrity). Yes, the wait was two years, but it's not like we didn't have any other games to play during that period. The souls who purchased xbox at launch simply got to play Halo earlier, and they'll never play Metroid Prime, or Zelda. The people who purchased GameCube played all of those AAA titles, and now they can play Halo as well. Logically, it works out better for the Nintendo/Sony/PC fans. Soon, PC fans can enjoy KOTOR as well.

And few will argue against the fact that PC is a better medium for playing FPS and RPGs.

yes...the PC is without a doubt the BEST medium for FPS...there is no way u can get the sensitivity of a mouse from an analogue control pad...and with the likes of Half life 2 and Doom 3 to be released...i don't understand why anyone would even bother looking at Halo PC

I am suprised no one has mentioned the six new multiplayer levels, along with the Banshee and the Warthog with a triple-barreled rocket launcher on the back added for multi player, and the fuel rod gun (best.gun.ever.) and the flame thrower.

I am sure some people will mod it and make new levels too to download, so yea, PC>XBOX

i was thinkin about gettin halo for pc but from what ive heard they have been having problems with RADEON gfx cards
and i dont think my radion 8000 can handle halo at its full grafical potential......

I must say that i have a blast playing online Halo. Its more addicting than Everquest and the only thing you want to make sure of is you dont have 56k modem. I belive it is the best game for PC ever. What about you guys?

I downloaded the Halo demo from IGN.com but it doesn't work when I try to install it. It won't even open.
