personally Rare wasn't very good in my opinion, the only games they made that i liked was goldeneye and perfect dark. they were good games but not that good... so i don't think it matters if nintendo loses rare or not..

And now that something happens to the Nintendo fans, you think this is your time to act cool and chilled out because it makes you look better. Because, Rareware decided to trade its fanbase. It decided to trade on me. They're taking Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie and everything else away from me and a lot of other Nintendo fans. Yes, they are a good developer. But why should I buy their game and continue to support them on their way out to Microsoft? I don't think I should simply because they chose to no longer support the Nintendo community, which conists of millions and myself.

So, therefore, I conclude this: If they don't want to support me, I will not support them.

And do not use the past as an example, I've bought and rented plenty of their games... and written published reviews on their products along with publishing news coverage on their company giving them a ton of publicity. I've done plenty for them, just as they've done for us by making great games. But now that they chose to end this, I am choosing now to end my support also.

Perfect dark is still unknown weather or not the franchise goes to Rare or Nintendo... So it's undecided... Also, I think I read somewhere today that Nintendo obtained the rights for Banjo. But all in all, Brian, you did have a good point up there.

From an economic standpoint, you buying the game or not buying the game won't really make that big a difference. Now I understand this is about principles, but unless you're organizing a boycott, you might as well try it.

Exactly, you can't blame this whole situation on Rare either. Nintendo had the opportunity to deter this seemingly fatal error, over a year ago. They could've sealed up Rare, but they decided not to, so Rare moves on. But in doing this, they earn some capital, and maybe this will be better in the long run. We'll just have to wait and see.

Now, as far as me not trying the game. Sure it won't hurt them, but I'm not buying an Xbox to play it, nor spending $10 to rent one. Now, however, if I was given the opportunity (if you call it that) to play it, I wouldn't be pigheaded about it, sure I'd play it. But you wanna know a little something? Out of all my friends, I only have one that owns an Xbox. I don't see playing his Xbox since we never do anything anyway.

I wouldn't expect anybody to buy an Xbox just because Rare is developing for it now, that would just be a plain waste of money if that was all you were going to get. I dunno, Rare is still good - even though this has nothing to do with gaming, when Jordan left Chicago, he was still good in his other team was he not? you don't make under par games just cause you switch companies, unless you know the rushing and all that, but right - Rare left, but you can't get all mad, it's a company choice, they didn't care, what the fans got, I mean IT'S A COMPANY and seriously companies don't last without money, and Microsoft gave that to them, so why even be mad over this? IT SUCKS that Nintendo lost the games, and so forth, but It's really nothing to get mad over.

I mean I can't say It doesn't suck, It does, for Nintendo gamers, and those who didn't want rare to leave.

But you can't go on hating a company for making what they saw best as a "COMPANY CHOICE" and "FOR THE COMPANY" It's their choice and you can do nothing, they thought it best to leave Nintendo, Nintendo DIDN'T buy them, Nintendo even SOLD their share of Rare as well, so before you go hating microsoft, remember that the company wasn't stolen, it was all agreed to with no huge arguments, maybe only over licenses to certain games.

So I don't see why everyone stresses this so much, you don't even know how It's all gonna turn out, let time go by and see, then complain If Nintendo goes downhill, or If It goes down In sales, then you can say Rare did something wrong TO Nintendo, as of now NOTHING has happened, so why blame anyone for anything, and even If you do, what's the point since you can do nothing to change it.

The GCN is getting TimeSplitters 2 and Die Hard. TS2 should fill a nice void, I think. Die Hard won't be as good, no multiplayer :mad: But yeah, Turok is trash.
