0.5 of a team means that they have to face off for that spot with a country from another continent.

In this case Australia (from the Oceania Region) have to verse the 5th placed South American Team for that spot hence that .5 from Oceania and SOuth America equal 1 team.

Poland?....ummm let me check

EDIT - No Poland have not yet qualified.

Oh.

You didn't.

You did not.

The US will go further this year than any previous year in their WC history. I don't predict a win, but I think we'll all be surprised.

BTW. Brazil isn't going to win.

I'm backing Brazil, they're looking at their strongest in years.

Brazil have all right chemistry to go on and win thier what, 7th???, World Cup.

I personally would love to see a different winner (not a huge upset like in Euro 2004 when greece took it) but something along the lines of the host Germany, Argentina, Italy or even France.

I have no real preferences since my home country hasnt made it (once AGAIN!!!) :realmad
but if i had to choose a country i have to go for Italy since my favourite player is Italian.

What is your home country?

Im from Romania, but i reside in Australia (sadly Australia have to verse Paruguay in a playoff next month to make it to the World Cup.

Its like Dejavu. 2002 WC qualifiers = Australia vs. Paruguay
2006 WC qualifiers = Australia vs. Paruguay

Yeah well do you remember what happened to france in 2002?, im quite sure we wont see a repeat of that but still the team was younger then and more into its prime...now most of their players are getting old.

BTW isnt thuram also back from retirement? Hes a great player but hes like 34??? yrs old!

Yeah well do you remember what happened to france in 2002?,

Yea I remember well...there were alot of fouls that were not called...I hope the referees are better this time around.

I don't know about Thuram since the US doesn't follow soccer at all...

I thought Zidane only came out of retirement to ensure they Qualified. Is he staying out of retirement to help them in the World Cup?

he's a central defender anyways, they can play till they're like 36 easily since they do minimal running
