I know I said I would never get one, but they look so freakin cool.

I have an NES version of the GBASP and I am not sure if i want to sell it, just because its kinda like a collectable. How much do you guys think I would get for it at EB? I am thinking maybe around $30. Should I just sell it online?

Also does the micro have the same attachments at the top like the GBA and SP so I can still connect my GB to my GC?

Don't buy it. And most of the attachments arse bigger then the micro itself, so have fun with a goofy looking handheld.

I thought the Micro looks neat, too, and it's neat that it's so small, but it costs nearly as much as a DS, if memory serves me, so I'd just go with a DS instead. For someone that already has a DS, the Micro doesn't have anything else to offer that you can't get with a DS, save maybe for the ability to play the old Game Boy games (which I assume that it does, since the other GBA units do).

I want a Micro and i have a DS, personally i think the DS is too big to be used as a GBA. And my SP is wierd o.O (after falling on bricks and getting wet)

Dead, stop double posting all the time. That's not allowed.

And I'm sure it does connect to your GC. It would be retarded if it couldn't.

i think it is retarded period, just another way to spend bling on something you already got...however if you find it the shit be my guest and get it asap.

Though I believe you can still hook up to the 'Cube, as long as you purchase said attachment.

You have to buy different attachments from what I read, the SP/gba ones wont work with micro. SP at ebgames will probably be like 20-25$ you wouldn't get much if even that much. You could get much more selling online or trading online.

When I have the money, I will not buy a Micro, I will buy the new backlit version of GBASP, AND Gunstar Super Heroes.

When I first saw the Micro I thought it was lame, but now after seeing it in action I'd really like one. It fits nice and your pocket and the screen is super easy to replace.

If you're going to sell your SP, I'd suggest Ebay. EB will rip you off.

I wouldn't, and don't waste your money on a Micro. It's the same thing as teh SP you already have, with a smaller screen.

Only GBA games, that sux.

Im probably gonna get one though

It's just so sexy.

It will also bring back development of GBA games, which i think was half the purpose of it in the first place. Who knows, at least we'll get some fresh 2d goodness

Man. Like Dementia said, Nintendo is good at making it's consumers feel stupid.

I'm in the same situation, I'm not sure whether to get one or not. It is really worth the money if I can play GBA games on my GBA, DS and GBA Player? I'm not sure that they can link up to the GC because in the latest issue in one of my mags (NGC) it said that they couldn't which is a shame. Still, I guess it would be cool to have one as a collectable item. So, what do you think I should do?

Well...The Micro is smaller, and more portable. Now after handling an Ipod Nano, i only want small things...and if it can go around your neck... o.O so what? At least you wont loose it ;D But anywho, the micro is a good lookin' object, and the screen thats better then the SP's. Sells me <3

I'm much more interested in getting one of the new/brighter GBA SP's. I tried the GB Micro myself and it felt just horrid.

Like I said in the other thread you guys are the wrong customers. These aim for a different audience; an audience beyond gamers. If you happen to want it then it's there.

Marketing angle: “We’re making the gorgeous Game Boy Micro for image-conscious folks who love video games, the ones who want the look of their system to be as cool as the games they play on it” according to George Harrison, Nintendo of America Sr. VP of marketing. It’s clear that they’re going after the kids who are too cool to carry around an obvious gaming device but who don’t mind carrying something that looks like the cell phone that they’re already carrying.

http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000520043660/

The only thing I can complain about it is the fact that it's $20 more than the SP but I have to look at the features.

-more portable (shorter in width, height, and thickness)
-better screen clarity
-judging by the back it's more comfortable than an SP
-face plates
-the style is better (IMO)
-lighter
-it's a choice if you didn't already have a GBA

All for for just an extra $20. That's money well spent over actually buying a worm light, battery pack, backlight, useless handles, charging station, etc

I am pretty sure I might buy one now.

My SP is kinda messed up, over the years the hinge kinda get loose and I got some something sticky on the back of it some how. It jut doesnt feel right playing GBA games on the DS, so I never do it, but if I bought a gameboy micro I would.

I travel a lot back and forth from the states, and on long trips (with layovers in the seattle USO lounge) I dont wanna burn all my battery (because I have like 24 horus of traveling 18 of which I wanna play games, you do the math)

DS with 8 hours + a SWEET looking Gameboy micro = pwnage

Sure, the Micro is for the new-cellphone-a-week crowd, but I think it's pretty sweet. I might actually want one :/

I had my GB Micro for about a week now and I love it! It feels great and at first I was scared about the small screen and the system being too small for my eyes and hands, but it wasnt at all! The games are easy to see and it causes no strains to the eyes, and the GB Micro is definitely more comfortable than the SP or DS. My only problem is that the shoulder buttons are located to the center instead of the outside.

dead718
10-05-2005, 02:13 PM
Yeah I've heard several people complaining about the shoulder buttons and saying everything else was sweet

Games I am gonna get around to beating/buying when/if I get my micro

Mario Party
Final fantasy tactics
Pokemon fire red/ leaf green
Final fantasy 1 and 2
Castlevania

I might sell my SP and several games I dont want anymore.

Oh I need to add one more thing to that list, Mario and Luigi, I just can't get any of those stupid star pieces or whatever.

I hope theres a sequel, can anyone shed some light on this.

theres a new Mario & Luigi game coming. Although, it'll be on the DS instead of GBA. It's called Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
