I am going to reformat my computer in the next couple of days.

Now I know how to do this, but a quick question in relationship to my other hard disk drive that has some back ups ok (music files, set up files, etc).

Now when I installed my other hard disk drive for this I had to initialised it and partition it, and then reformat before I could use it.

Basically what I'm worried about is that when I reinstall everything I won't have to reformat the other hard disk drive again will I?

Because I am dependent on using this hard disk drive to put my music back onto my computer etc.

Thanks in advance.

if you have already formatted it with a windows supported filesystem, the you won't havbe to do anything with it except plug it in and mount it up.....

NSTL or whatever that combination is supported by Windows because I did it with Windows so yay!

Your second drive will be fine. The only thing you will need to reinstall on it, would be if you had any programs installed on it. The registry of the OS is located on your primary drive, which will be lost once you format it.

However, if its just files, mp3s, movies, pics, etc.....(no programs just files), then all will be just fine once you setup your primary drive again.
