Could EA make this possible?
During E3 they have shown the fantastic Fight night: round 3 in real time.. the guy even played the game lol

But could they make this possible on FIFA?

He didn't play the game although he stated many times that it's real time.

about youre question I don't think so cuz FIFA is unrealistic compared to PES (or WE)
or even Fight Night . Have you seen FIFA 2006 in xbox 360 it looked the same as on xbox or PS2 .

Everything on the 360 looks like it's a game on the PS2/Xbox. I haven't seen one game that looks nearly as good as the fight night demo from E3.

i think the second FIFA made on the PS3 could reach Fight Night level of graphics.

I doubt it, maybe it may come close, but there are too many aspects to the game that EA need to master.
Personally im rooting for pes on ps3

Fifa have the graphics department down, and on the PS2 we saw that Fifa 2004, didn't really work because the PS2 couldn't keep the speed up. I think with PS3 they will be able to improve the graphics alot and still keep the speed up, but It won't be as realistic as fight night, because fifa, hasn't got the gameplay down like Konami has with pro evo. Pro Evo, with the (player names of fifa (damn licensing) and) graphics of fifa would be the one, but that isn't going to happen, but I do think Pro evo can get there graphically with the added ability of the PS3 - but who really cares. Today's graphics would be fine, What I want to see is A.I.

Konami has announced developing PES for the 360, this isn't good at all.
I'd like konami to keep the controlling style , and i'd like to see big online tournaments.

I saw FIFA on xbox360 again, as I said before it looks the same, but I observed some intresting points. The grass looks great, you can see the coach (but i don't know if it is cutscene or not), and the supporters aren't 2D anymore. These points seems not important but they really create a great atmosphere.

I've been asking myself this question a lot, some stadiums holds more than 70,000 supporters could they all be in 3D ?

I dont think charachters can look as good as in the Fight Night demo, cause in a Fotball game, theres too much charachters, wheras in a boxing game, only 2 charachters which can take all the polygons.

Lightning looks good, but like i said, charachters will never be as detailed as Fight night or any other 1 on 1 fighting game.

The grass looks good, I'll give them that. Last time I checked though, there aren't any clubs wearing plastic uniforms.

I'm not going to be expecting the best graphics possible on the system coming from EA, they never have had them and probably won't (other then final fantasy which was not really EA at all and now isnt).

Is it just my bad memory, or did EA release some amazing pictures of an american football game.... Where is that game now? <snigger>

These screens are from the game being played at a games show last week. The game is out in a month and two weeks.

Nice cloth-dynamics but it appears to me like the game leaves much to be desired graphically. However, i'm not the Futbol type.

I think the whole game looks impressive really. Good character, background, foreground, stadium, lighting etc. Is this gameplay shots?????

About the character amount in the stadiums, Im not sure about the numbers but in PGG3 devs were playing around and found that they could hundreds of thousands of spectators on the street corners of the track, so if that is true I wouldnt doubt you could very well have 70,000 spectators in a stadium.

if those are the graphics! Then I don't know if I want to wait for PS3 - haha

I dont know, I don't really like how the characters look like clay. Why is everything always shiny? It doesn't make sense.

You know I agree that seems to be the new thing with devs these days. Im not real big on it either, but I still think the characters look good (well built proportioned, etc [opinion]). I would like to see a transition to more realistic looking ingame characters.

Would sub-surface light scattering and a proper shader that's specific to the characters (as in not affecting the environment) fix that clay look right up? I mean, if you can apply a shader to wall of rocks and make it look like water is streaming down it realistically I think you can apply some shaders and turn these claymen into real men.

I couldnt agree more, it seems to be an ongoing trend with devs these days. I dont see any reason why any particular design or gaming engine would require a waxy look to characters, but in more and more games thats what we are recieving. The first game that comes to mind to deviate from this would be COD2 and thats just an opinion because the characters still have some what of a semi gloss look to them.

Could it be that the game engines are more designed around shader use than polygon builds. As to say that they are using lower build polygons and then applying shaders to give the characters in game a much more detailed and refined look to them?????

Yea, they did that a lot on the Xbox and I know with the PS2 they did that too. Just, different types of shaders.

When the showed the uneral demo for PS3 - the second one - they turned off the shaders and he looked like a guy right out of unreal tournament 2004 on ya PC

Danji

Shaders can do that. I like the fact that the PS2 was geometry heavy instead of shader heavy because I thought most shaders pre-this gen video card and pre-next gen consoles looked cheesy. Most of the pre-programmed ones on cards anyways.
