Anyone knows what would happen if I send my DS back to Nintendo due some issues that cause the machine is "unplayable", will Nintendo send you a brand new DS back that has the same color as my original ones? Or I can just choose another color??

I was wondering about that myself too.
they won't send you a new DS of ANY color, let alone one of your choice. they'll send you a refurbished one, and the color will probably be decided simply based on what color refurbished DS they have at the time.

My multiplayer stopped working, and under the 1 year warranty I had it replaced. They sent me my replacement and took a note of my credit card number, saying they would charge me $200 CDN if my DS didn't show up at their office within 3 weeks. Seems fair, if you ask me.
I specifically asked if I could get a blue one instead, and they said they would only send you the colour that you bought that is covered by the warranty; they are not allowed to change it.

Damn, I was hoping I could pay the difference in costs or something and get a pink one to go with my stylus. Oh well, I guess I'll live. (First post for me, w00t)

How to colorize DS:
Masking tape on the important bits, and color spray-paint you want.
Presto. Now you have a gold/lime DS you sexy man you.

Re-manufactured DS's suck. Full of bugs/defects.
my brother got a refurbished one, and it waas far better than his previous one, and it's far better than mine. none of the three had any defects (except a weird thing that his old DS was doing which caused him to trade it in).

I would assume that Nintendo would try and asend back a DS with the same color but sometimes they may not. You can also modify the colors yourself. I am actually thinking of doing it one day.

Cool, let us know how that works out, I'd love to see it when you're done.

My DS came with two dead pixels, I should send it back before the warranty runs out...
Will they accept that?

Mine had a dead pixel, I went back to Best Buy the very next day. Always buy the warranty! :o

Will they accept that?Yes, since they even accept a DS with only a single dead pixel.
