Mother 3 for GBA is “nearing release”

Earthbound/Mother creator Shigesato Itoi has long been in development on a secret project. Mother-obsessed fans have been deciphering his website and words for clues, but today Itoi dropped the bomb: in his own (translated) words, “Mother 3 for Game Boy Advance is nearing release.” Unfortunately, that is all the news he will give, as he is “probably going to stay quiet about Mother 3 until just before its release.”

There are very many questions to be answered: is Ness returning? Why not make the game for Nintendo DS? And, most importantly, will we see a US version of the game?

To all this, Itoi simply requests, “please forget about [the game] again for a short while.” We wish everyone (ourselves, included) good luck trying to forget this.

i dont think mother 3 came out on the snes. it was in development for the n64 then got canned. its comin out on gba eh? maybe if i had interest in rpgs....

Fuckin yes... a sequel after what, 11 years? To my favorite game of all time? I remember hearing about the development of the GBA sequel years ago, but I thought it was canned as well after the years of no mention.

WHat an azz Earthbound is Not Harvest Moon and your just Corney. But anyways I've been keeping up with the development of the game for a longggggggggggggg time. ANd for those who don't know the history behind the game:
NES- Earthbound zero
SNES- Eathbound (Mother 2)
N64- Mother 3 (Canceled)
GBA- Earthbound zero/ Earthbound Mother 2 (Japan Only)
GBA- Mother 3 /possibly Zero and Mother 2/ (US Coming Very Soon)
