What is with the new chat bot installed? Is he there for a purpose for it? I am finding his conversations boring.

lol it's kind of like the "Smart Child" version for the chat. Personally I think it's kind of cool.

May I, too, add that this is a big turn off for the chat room? Yes, it's funny, I mean, what a coincidence, it happends to be Carlos. Yeah yeah. But yea, I find it annoying.

It is quiet clever for a chat bot but I think it needs to go. Carlos is a bit too friendly.

I couldn't tell you at the moment my firefox is frefusing to install the macromedia flash plugin but IE and Firefox have always seemed a little screwy on x64 Xp.

A dwhitten bot would be a bad idea. It would try to engage in internet sex with everyone, and scare people off

Anyone having a flash plug in problem should follow these steps.


Tools > Adblock > Preferences > Adblock Options > Uncheck Obj-tabs.

Flash will now work.

Quick question,

If it's possible to stick 2 bots in the same room, would they talk to each other, or would they do nothing until a real member comes in?

I think it is has something to do with the config file when omega set up but thatis just me I can't read that file in the ftp. Also Viper, those steps would work great if was only a problem in firefox for me. Since now it's loading in ie either for me. oh well I got teamspeak, and gTalk. :D

That should work. The chat system uses what is called Shared Objects through Flash. These are just like cookies but are instead .sol files.

You can actually use shared objects to your advantage and cheat through some online flash games. The documentation on shared objects is very limited but if you are wanting to do your research you can do it.

That's what I was thinking too.

Maybe we're just so 1337, that we're not allowed in the chat?

Which seems plausible, since OnBake can get into the chat. O:-]
