Oh my... what a great idea this is for X-Box live.

In addition to your regular X-Box live fee, Phantasy Star Online is $8.95 a month every month.

On Gamecube you don't need to pay anything except for the game and the monthly fee... what a waste. AND X-Box live is required to connect to the pay-to-play service.

The game is also $10 cheaper, the monthly fee is $1 less, and you get two free monthes with the game.

Still frigging retarded, though. Glad I wasn't planning on getting it.

xboxers, GCers, and PS2ers can't play together? I thought they could...

PSO = not on PS2. But XBox Live is a closed network, XBox people can only play with other XBox people.

IT's probably cheper when you consider that you don't need to buy the other crap like network addapters and stuff. This is the only game on xbox live which requires a monthly guild charge. Sega said that they would be doing more stuff to the xbox version since it is Broad band only, already there is voice communication Ha, Ha, I don't have to type. and the downloads

closed network? wat? does M$ think they got some hot shit goin on there or something?
it'd be to every1's benefit if PSO players could play with every1 regardless of console....oh wait...that doesn't benefit every1...only the gamers...and they don't count for shit

That's fine. You just won't be able to hang out in lobbies. Unless you want to listen to:
Looking for God/battle
Looking for God/battle
Looking for god/battle
Looking for god/battle
...etc until he gets a god/battle.

Wow dude, you completly left out the fact that PSO on Xbox is 39$ compared to the 49$ for GCN.

You also left out the fact that you get TWO free months as opposed to Gamecubes ONE free month. Saves 18.95$. Also you should know there is no Xbox Live fee for the first year, so whoever buys this only starts paying 8.95$ on the THIRD month.

Get your facts straight please.

I rather pay 39$ and get 2 free months then 50$ and get 1 free month anyday. Besides the GCN adapter is only used by one game (PSO) and considering all the problems the GCN PSO has that the Xbox LIVE version could be patched and fixed at any time, its worth it, don't cha think?

How is stating the facts being a fanboy? The only fanboy thing is this topic, and the person who started it. :o

I just read a poll over at our beloved Gamespot.com...

91% of the votes say "No, I will not pay for PSO over the cost of X-Box Live", 9% say "Yes".

That's one of the damned largest margins I've ever seen...

If everyone who had Xbox and Xbox LIVE voted on that poll maybe it would be.
