Stupid question about Mac/PC compatibility...

We were given a Mac at work, but the hard drive is bad. The only parts we have are PC, so I was wondering if Macs use a different type of hard drive than PC's or are they compatible?

You'll just need to reformat the HD when you install the OSX.

I've taken Windows formated HD's before put em in my external bays and I can access the contents no prob. So if you want all your windows info on your mac its quite easy.

A hard drive is a hard drive. It's the format of the file system that counts. Just format the drive to HFS+ using a Mac OS X disk and install.
