With the power of the Playstation 3 we can now see every drip of sweat fall from these burly boxers' faces (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/r/?page=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php(que)id=131452)
12:08 Kudo Tsunoda, executive producer at EA Chicago, has been talking up his new sweaty boxing game Fight Night: Round 3 and has even dropped some details on the Playstation 3 version.
Speaking to US mag Game Informer, Tsunoda spoke about Fight Night: Round 3's intricate graphics engine. The game uses a 'Mo Cap' system, which realistically renders a character's skin, realistically stretching it over a modelled bone structure - blimey. "The U-Cap is affecting how the skin moves and making the skin less plastic and more organic," Tsunoda explained.
Graphical touting aside, Tsunoda did offer some rare details on the PS3 version of the game. "I think the cool thing about the [PS3] controller, especially with our game, is that I think it allows people with not as large hands to better utilize the analogue sticks. Our game is so analog stick driven. I think that [the] controller is set up nicely to work in our game."
And with FNR3 also confirmed for Xbox 360, will we additionally be seeing the sequel in wand-waving Revolution action? "I think it's really interesting technology and we could do cool things with it," said Tsunoda. "As a developer, I'm always excited seeing new things being done because it definitely gives you more things to play with."
EA has so far officially confirmed Fight Night: Round 3 for Xbox, PS2, PSP and Xbox 360, these versions releasing in early 2006.

Hmmm, good words about the controller. I guess they haven't changed it much - or at all - from the E3 version; we'll see soon enough I suppose! :smoke:

Nice artical Nerve. Its good to see that are controller is comfortable in his eyes...enough that he mentioned it in the artical. I'm excited to see if our version will have any advantages over the 360 version. We'll have to wait and see.

I would like to see the developer discuss features unique to each console. I would expect the PS3 version to have better resolution, effect, textures, animation, etc. The developers have not announced any unique features for the PS3, if the two versions (PS3 & 360) are identical shame on EA...
he was talking about the controller everyone saw at E3.
what I wish he talk about is what are the differences, if any, between the two next-gen versions.

EA announce FIght Night 3 Xbox 360, PSP but no PS3 version
EA lays out Fight Night 3 details
In a statement released today, EA made no mention of the PlayStation 3 version of the slugger, which made headlines at this year's E3 for its technical demo included in Sony's press conference.

But
Don't confuse this with Fight Night on PS3, however. According to EA's Kudo Tsunoda, "The PS3 [version] is going to be a totally different game, just because the Xbox 360 launches before the PS3 launches. So it's going to be much more of a kinda Fight Night 4 PS3 version and Fight Night 3 Xbox 360 version."

I look the XBox 360 version screenshot.
It look extremely nice but i notice the screenshot is much higher than 720p about 2.44x 720p. So that means its only dev shot,
Dont expect much from EA

Rukawa, good new regarding the PS3 version of Fight Night! Let's hope EA get's this one right... Also, I'm curious to see how the team is coming along with the Def Jam title, the same team is working on both titles. Screen shots from Def Jam was in Game Informer a few months ago and looked very impressive. Only time will tell... Peace
all 'next-gen' screens of DefJam are not in-game. much like EA's early Madden and NFS pics, they were what they think they can do. a target if you wish.

That's bad news...
We all know EA's history,:susp: the game will look nothing like the target renders...
Oh well, no need to be excited for the game.
Perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised, but I won't hold my breath.

Yeah I must say that I have little hope for FN-3. Although if EA could pull off a great game on both the 360 and PS3 then maybe we are going to be seeing some changes in the next gen. (although it is doubtful).
