Casino Royale videogame development cancelled for Xbox 360 and PS3 (http://www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php?itemid=3137)


As MI6 exclusively revealed last week, the next James Bond videogame from EA will be "Casino Royale".

The game was originally aimed at the recently released Xbox 360 and forthcoming PlayStation 3 platforms.

Sources now suggest plans for next-gen console releases have been cancelled.

Versions for current generation consoles (PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube) will be developed as normal, as with "Everything or Nothing" and "From Russia With Love".

Pre-production work on the game started a few months ago, with concept artwork and some 3D models already complete, even before the latest game From Russia With Love hit the shelves.

I guess EA doesn't want to bring a bad game bond game to next-gen yet. lol

oh well. not a huge loss.
but i would like to see EA get there act together
and make a game as great as golden eye

I don't like Bond games or movies, but thinking about the reason for such a move; why couldn't they have it if they already made around 4 X2 titles? they also say they just started a couple of months ago. couldn't they port on the new platforms by then?
