Gears of War for PS3

The Inquirer is also confirming that UT2007 will be a PS3 launch title. But that is not the important part. The Inquirer also said this:

This is actually the second game from Epic to be allocated to the PS3. Gears of War will eventually be coming out for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3, but its release date is still a little foggy, could be any time in 2006. We'll keep you posted.

So Gears of War is coming to the PS3 too? I thought it was an Xbox 360 exclusive?

I would like to beleive this except that its from the Inquirer... They're about as reliable as Spong. I'm pretty sure thet GoW is a 360 exclusive so don't get your hopes up.

I question the credibility of that site. Always jumble up the words, confusing the readers. But yeah, i thought GOW was 'exclusive' for the Xbox 360.

eurogamer said something like this awhile back..

Gears of War is due out on Xbox 360 some time in 2007, and while it might get a PS3 port we wouldn't hold your breath for a Revolution version.

Rumor has it there’s a “Gears of War” port in the making for PS3 and PC. It seems Microsoft only has exclusive rights for one year, thus allowing a 2007 (only if the X-360 version isn’t pushed back) port of Epic masterpiece.

Microsoft has exclusive rights (probably a year) to publish Gears of War for Xbox 360, however they don’t own the franchise -outright-. Microsoft may have the option of extending the exclusive right clause.

Epic owns Gears of War plain and simple!!

Epic is no fool........

Epic stands to make more money by cross plat-forming the game, rather than selling the game outright.
