This the rebirth of the 360 thread. This was done to freshen the thread and get it back on topic (more on-topic anyways).

As for my thoughts on the 360 and PS3..they are this. They are both different approaches to next generation gaming. I think the PS3 approach is generally more advanced but they are both better in different areas. The 360 is likely to be more developer friendly in PROGRAMMING SOMETHING but to get it to run acceptably the PS3 is better. Most of this is due to the different memory set-ups.

The PS3, in aspects other than specs, will offer a better experience than the 360.

Every time I see this thread in the "New Posts" list, I have to wonder; why?

Why would there be a large Xbox 360 thread in a Playstation Forum? Shouldn't Xbox 360 discussion take place in the Xbox Forum?

Because the members made too many threads about it. In fact, this second thread is a test to see whether or not the forum is ready to move on.

Yea, this thread will def lose all attention come CES... By that time we will have all sorts of PS3 news to marvel over and it will keep us busy untill launch. We have 2 months coming with BIG PS3 news, so by that time no one will really care to go into this thread...

Why were people making threads about the Xbox 360 in a PS3 forum?

Moreover, why didn't anyone move those threads to the correct forum?

Because many of the members of e-mpire are former members of PSINext - video games enthusiasts as opposed to PlayStation enthusiasts. After the merger, many of the PSInext members carried on posting as before the merge - ie. everything to do with video games in the same forum.

AFAIK the threads are not moved because the Xbox forum is vastly less visited than the PS2 forum. I for one have never visited the 360 forum - this from a future 360 buyer, who has an interest in the console.

Maybe that's because most of the X360 discussion is taking place in the PS3 forum.

It might be a good idea to recognize the merger and post threads where they belong. If we're going to have separate forums for Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, the least we could do is keep things organized and on topic with respect to the forum divisions.

yes, and by the time E3 comes, the Revolution will overshadow everything.

That's it. Game over.

This thread will do nothing but spawn hatred and create a space for people to complain about a problem we are already trying to solve. No more 360 threads here. EVER.

A solution is in sight but for now make all threads pertaining to the 360 in the Xbox Raw forum or don't make any at all.
