"It might be a bit too early for pastel Easter M&M's, but it seems there's never a wrong time for an equally festive PS2. Coming hot on the heels of colored PS2s in the US, Sony Japan is offering three new limited edition colors to entice consumers.
The new Sakura, Aqua, and Silver PS2's will retail for 25,000 yen (about $210 USD) and include a matching controller, with the respective vertical stand available for an extra 1,500 yen ($13 USD). The Silver edition debuts this Valentine's day, with the other two colors seeing release on the 20th. Importers may need to dig deep into their wallets for these babies, as only 50,000 of each color will be manufactured."

hahaha, even if they stoped selling PS2's altogether, gamecube would stilol never catch up...

The blue looks the best...
And they gave the beautiful name Sakura to the very ugly colour... it doesn't even look like cherry blossom colour... its too purple... a little less purple, a little more pinky and a little more white and it would be good...

lmfao your so paranoid that whenever someone says something about GCN they are automatically a xbox fanboy and you should do something to diss Xbox. He never said anything about Xbox. If theyre both equal in sales, of COURSE!

They released 666 PS2s of diffrent colors in japan this X-mas.

I don't personaly like those colors. Although, if any of my friends (all of whom are casual gamers) get one of these, I can never brag about my indigo gamecube. Yet, they probably have no clue this will be going on. So all is well.

What's funny is that Nintendo's competition laughed at Nintendo for starting the multi-color hardware idea, only to jump on the bandwagon down the road. After Game Boys of different colors and then N64 controllers and consoles, Sega followed suit, then Sony and even Microsoft. It reminds me of the same with the N64's Rumble Pack, first laughed at and then becoming the standard, with everything having force feedback.

The blue one is alright, but it's not like I'm going to go buy one. I have a black one, and that works for me.

If only they'd give us that transparent blue PS2 that the Japanese have. I wanted to get one from lan-kwei, but they decided to.. do whatever they do now.
