Even though I'm the only one that will listen to it, Donald Fagen (singer/songwriter for Steely Dan) has his third solo album, first in thirteen years since Kamakiriad, which is titled Morph the Cat, thus effectively replacing Countdown to Ecstasy as the weirdest album title for any Steely Dan or related project.

Radiohead!
I think Daedelus will release something this year.
DJ Shadow hasn't released a new album since 2002 (I think.)
I wonder if Fantomas will create something. ANYTHING!
Aphex Twin might release the Analord series on CD, or make something else.
Kid Koala! http://www.kidkoala.com has been saying "2006" for pretty much the entire 2005.
Ra said he would release a new album in '05, but I guess he pushed it back to '06.
Animal Collective say they're going to release an album a year, so I need to buy their other albums to catch up.

A lot of my favorite artists, groups and bands released something last year, mostly around my birthmonth March, it was awesome.

As far as films go, I'm waiting for A Scanner Darkly with great anticipation.
I wish the rumor was true, the one about Radiohead doing the score music.

edit:: OH! I'm also waiting to see the new Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez collaboration, 'Grind House'.
Not to mention the next Sin City film.

they haven't released anything yet but a trailer on the website, he says its his best work yet and nothing is coming close to it

he's either overhyping it or just really confident

I saw em on the 24th, unfortunately I was on the higher tier and it wasnt a very physical experience. Definitely not the best live performance, but still very good all the same, I did laugh at Labries poor attempts at crowd warmers, but everyone musically was on good form.

The Images and Words finale really struck a chord in me, beautiful work.
The keyboardist drowned out the guitar a bit as well, the bastard. I am too harsh, it was very good.

At wolvo, it was really good, i was on the bar wid my mates. And wolvo civic i presume is way smaller than hammersmith.
Everyone was in full spirit, i was stood next to someone who resembled chewbacca, and did indeed he made the noise.

Metropolis part 1 as finale, was superb.
and they also randomly went into Stockholm Sydrome intro and Wish You Were here and another cover like before the interval.. Just randomly playin the intros.
The start of Root Of All Evil into Panic Attack was stunning, its one of my favourite live bands so far.

WEEN!
I forgot about Ween!
They said they were up to something.

And RJD2 is supposed to be collaborating with Aceyalone which interests me.

And Venetian Snares will probably release about four albums this year too.
They seem to be getting less complicated though, which is a bit of a shame.
