Jon Stewart to host Oscars

Well, it is official. Mr. Stewart, the host of the Daily Show on Comedy Central, has been pegged as the host for this year's Oscars, replacing Chris Rock, who was a one-and-done performer.

I think this could be an interesting move. He has done stand-up and he is extremely bright and funny. Better than Chris Rock, certainly, although no one will hold a candle to Crystal as the best host.
