I need help. I want the best Windows Vista stuff I can get. So far I have the windows blinds vista thing set up. What else can I get? I also have the Vista icon transformation pack.

Ok, first you need to copy key features of Mac OS X. Ok, now make it look like shit. Now add some security holes. Now start adding restrictions. Now remove some of those restrictions, but charge more for everyone you remove and make 8 different versions. Now charge a few hundred dollars for the unrestricted version. Now slap a Microsoft sticker on it and wait 5 years before you do it again. Awesome job!

Are you just wanting your current system to look like vista, or do you want to actually run the beta? If you just want the look and feel, I have heard people say that the transformation pack was on the the best. If you actually want to run Vista, the latest beta can be found off a number or bittorrent sites. The ISO is about 2.8 GB.

If you have the 'computer' for it, switch to Vista.

It runs much better than XP. And it's only in the Beta. But make sure to build the 3rd build for it.

I seem to remember saying the same thing about XP, "ME works great, who needs more", LOL.
The only reason I wouldn't update is if they have that software reporting, I don't need Uncle Bill, taking a gander at what I got.

The video requirements for Vista are crazy. Say hello to MORE wasteful services and a squeeky catch up GUI. Does anyone know where the list of killable services for Windows XP is? It's helpful when trying to kill services to get a Dell cheapo with 256 MB of RAM to run a bit faster.

I normally kill error reporting, Zero Config Wireless, and Universal Plug and Play.

If you want to skin your programs like Vista then try deviantArt (http://deviantart.com). I have seen several Vista like skins over there.
I'd love a list of worthless serivces I can disable.Start->Run
Then type MSConfig and change some stuff there.

Want a good reason to update? Bungie has just announced Halo 2 for Vista exclusivley. Me? I prefer the latest and greatest at all times.

Okay stupid question, How can I beta test Vista Mr. Science? I already saw 2 updates on windows update for it.

I want to do all i can to update closer and closer to it befor i switch there has to be more than this out there. right?

To get the betas, you are supposed to be on the beta tesing list from MS. However, you can DL the betas out there right now.

I have the 5219 (2.7GB) and the 5270 (1.9GB) builds for it. The newer build is much better and way more stable.
