Gaming ideas we’d like to see ~ and will:

For years I’ve thought it would be cool if you could upload your own picture and be the main character of whatever game you were playing. Amazingly enough, they’re actually doing this now. The newest Tony Hawk game lets you use your own face for the main character of the game (http://www.thugonline.com ~ has anyone done this yet?) as well as allow you to customize your deck, & create tricks and level designs. I’d like to see a lot more customization in games of all types. So, with that example in mind, what other ideas for gaming would you like to see?

Most folks have Xbox, ergo, Xbox Live, and we got fucked. They usually have something close to me, anyway.


I think it would be badass, though, to be able to upload other's faces and shoot their asses in some shoot-em-up game or something.

Yeah, that would be pretty awesome. I'd like to see uploaded faces in RPG games...at least, the option for that in some of the games. Some people will still want to be someone completely different (to fully fulfill the fantasy aspect of it) and that of course will still be possible. Also, face uploading should never be used in games like Zelda, etc. (although Link is simply a reincarnated person, so I could technically be his reincarnation. That could be interesting, but still).

The face-in-the game feature would be great in war games, wouldn't it? Then you could get more of a sense of actually playing against the real players.

I just picked up T.H.U.G. today, so I'm gonna find out tonight how the customizable features work. I got the Xbox version though, so I won't be doing the face-in-the-game thing, but I can still customize my board deck and create skate parks, etc. Should be awesome. Anyone else play it yet?
