I don't think I'll buy it, but I do find him funny from time to time.

I can take his ignorant, arrogant, but sometimes comical babble in small doses (aka the articles on his site), but I could never read a full book by that man.

Fuck yes, I'm buying it.

My friend and I are going to buy it as soon as it comes out.

Nah. Maddox would be amusing if the year were 1989.

If this thread's in the forum, the forum must be renamed from "Literature/Expression" to "Books".

That's all I have to say on the matter.

I'll be getting it.

I don't think I'll get it.

No point in paying for what I can read on his site for free.

Just because you don't like how he expresses himself doesn't make it any less respectable then anything else in this forum.

I'm getting it. :clapping:

Please. If you don't like it, don't read it. Don't bash it because you don't agree, it's childish.

I'll be getting it, as well. I migh tnot agree with everything he says, but I still enjoy reading it.

I'm trying to find where in his post he mentions that he thinks maddox is a jerk. So far, I've been unsuccessful. Perhaps he meant what he posted, rather than some contrived "hidden meaning" you guys routed from his words.

If, by June, I remember this, I'll probably buy the book. The man can be funny sometimes.

I think he was talking about the fact that I moved the thread from General Discussion to Literature/Expression. Books are Literature..

Oh, I thought he was hating on Maddox.

Sorry! :)

I don't know, I just wanted to rip on Izual.

Even if that is what happened, his statement doesn't make sense. Or he's an idiot.

Damn, I didn't even know it was Izual.

Hi Izual!

My statement?

Also, come on... we both know I'm an idiot. :thumbr: Hello, Kevin!

Wow, a discussion on interpretations of my post. Well here's the right one.

I was saying that the thread isn't about Literature or Expression. It simply asks the question, "Are you going to buy Maddox's book?" That's a GD topic imo. Say if someone wrote "What do you think of Maddox's book?" or "What do you think Maddox's book has to say about tolerance of other cultures in America today?" then it's a Literature topic.

That's all I have to say on the matter."
By "That's all I have to say on the matter", I'm.... wait.... not saying anything else on the matter! Why? I don't think much of his style of writing. You have drawn it out of me. But I'm going out of my way to try not to "bash Maddox" because I know that there are a great deal of people-- rational, college-eductated people-- that will read and enjoy the book. No, I'm not one of these people but I still respect those who are in the above group.

Screw all of you and your moral high-horses.

I'm with him ^.

I'd never buy his book.

Maddox isn't funny anymore, plus you have a 1000 other people who are copying his style...

His popularity is dying, and he's hoping to get one last buck out of this book.
