I'm not a big Enzo fan. It looks strange and for $450k+, doesn't perform to it's value.

450K+? Where I live they sell em for about $1.2 million.

Looks are subjective but what do you mean does not perform to its value? 220MPH+ (limited by aero I would have thought) and 0-60 in 3.5 sec not enough for you? Also track times put it above pretty much every car ever made (check out Top Gear's track times, the MC12 is only 0.1 sec faster and that is just an Enzo in racing drag).
As far as I am concerned its not all about the numbers - it is about the way it makes you feel, and it makes me feel six years old all over again, unlike the Veyron.

The Enzo doesn't even look like a car sometimes and others it looks like the design team threw together 20 pieces of fiberglass that didn't fit.
I think you mean carbon fibre not fibreglass. (Damn I am a pedant lol). I still do not see how the Vette matches it round a track (maybe acceleration upto about 100MPH). The vette just is not special IMO, regardless of how good it now is. If you want to compare cars, the vette gets at least matched by the TVR Sagaris and gets mauled by the Ariel Atom supercharged, both of which cost £10000 less than the normal Vette in the UK.
Also with the whole Vette thing, European (or should that be non north-americans?) as a whole just don't get it. Maybe its becuase of 40 years of cars that are less fun to drive than some hatchbacks (this has been solved with the current gen car though - it now definately competes with the European elite). Maybe it is becuase sitting in one of the older models and driving it on a typical European country road is like sitting on a horse-pulled carriage (ie bumpy as hell).
I think your average European is less swayed by quarter mile times etc just because handling, steering/gearbox feel is quite imortant on a European road, whereas on the largely straight open country roads in America it is not (this is not a flame - I am not saying either opinion is right or wrong).

It solely comes down to preference.
I live in a country were most people like either Holden (Vauxhall) or Ford.
I like neither but thats because i was born in Europe and enjoy all things European.
I personally dont like the styling of the average American built cars, but i like some of their "super cars" (ie Saleen S7, New Viper, General US Mucle cars).
But no matter how good a car the US or Asia make...id still prefer a Europian built automobil. [/Opinion]

The handling for the C6 is far superior to previous gen models which is why it pulled in a 7:42 at the N-ring.
Yeah most reviews do say how much better the handling is and now competes with or beats its European competition (an Enzo would get less than 7:30 as the Carrera GT, which is heavier, less powerful and slower round most tracks got 7:32).

For some reason, Ferrari won't run anything on the German track anymore it seems so we'll never truly know how it stacks up.

Yeah, that does suck, but still I love the radical design of the Enzo...Sure it's WAY overpriced for what you get (like the Viper) and I do agree Corvettes are teh way to go, but I stilll love them.

Give me a new Ford GT40 or RSI Custom 2006 Dodge Viper any day. McLaren F1 would be my ultimate choice.
Ouch! Wouldnt like to be the owner, cause I would wanna die if it were mine lol. Owned isnt enough to desribe it.

i'd like an elfin streamline. think clubman, but with a 245 Kw holden/chev gen III v8....due to noise restrictions, it can't get the full 260 Kw, the pressure is so great the exhaust extends about 5 cm under full throttle.....all in a car that weighs about 1000 Kg.
i don't mind some of the newer american cars, the C6 looks good, and seems like it performs well, and doesn't suffer from problems that a lot of previous models do.
i think the reason a lot of europeans don't like american cars is in part the styling (vents on everything, super aggressive styling for cars that don't perform, or simply incredibly bland styling on others - starting to change now) and handling - the fact that most european car manufacturers actually have to completely recalibrate the suspension to make it softer is testament to this fact. some european roads are actually the highest quality roads in the world, so the suspension can be set stiffer - giving better handling but no intrusive bumps (due to good roads). australia is quite the opposite - council workers like to leave their signatures in aussie roads, usually in the form of a 5cm difference in height, or gap or bump in the road. hence we are given american spec for some cars (eg. the R32 golf) and they aren't too sporty.... thankfully this has changed now though, with most makers giving us better spec suspension (or our own spec). size is also a problem with americal cars - most european roads aren't designed to have SUV's parked on either side of the roads, with enough space for another two to pass between them comfortably...

This is what I expected you to post.I saw that before..It was on a siezed cars list and it was still selling for $405,608.Shame.I was always a Ferrari Kid never a Lamb type of guy..F50,F355,F430.I like Vettes
But a more reachable car would be the Viper..God,the Veyron is a hump...
Doesn't even look worthy of stealing the title it stole from Koeniggsegg,Much less McLaren.
