Video Game Awards on Spike Tv!

Wow.

So theres supposedly The Video Game Awards on Spike TV Saturday Night at 7. I heard this as i watched wrestling last night.

Here's a task for some of ya. N e one know what its supposed to be like...when it is (i forgot) and if any GC games are nominated.

ugh, this is for main stream gamers if you ask me. ok, this is what's gonna go down. GTA and THUG are gonna be getting all the awards and tony hawk is gonna be jumping out onto stage on his skate boared all "cool" and everyone is gonna be goin' "WO0O0OO00000!!!!!111!!!1" and after all that TH will be the one accepting all the awards instead of neversoft (or whatever). so don't be expecting to see Shiggy, Denis Dyack or Hideo Kojima. This "awards" show is gonna be crap and SpikeTv doesn't know what they're doin'

I figured it'd be crap. I like Spike Tv, Joe Shmo show = Funny as hell.

And no, i didnt expect Shiggy or N E one out of the states to actually be there, but i figured MAYBE someone here MAY know something else of the awards....

I think WindWaker got nominated for something, I'm not sure

EDIT: It got best fantasy game and game of the year, Rebel Strike got best movie based game and best action I think. And F-Zero GX got best driving game, Viewtigul Joe was nominated for most addictive game.

Yeah I just saw it and the real thing is Dec 4 and Wind Waker got beat out for best game by GTA: VC, Madden 2004, and Splinter Cell....gay.

I dont know how madden got on to best game of the year nomonation. It is not any different than 2003 or 2002(at least not a lot different). I think a game should be inovative to be considered. Vice City, that is just a blatent attempt to make more money. It is the same game as Grand Theft Auto 3, just larger and in miami.

What was the pre show? Does that mean that Wind Waker isn't in the run for best game anymore? These awards look like they'll suck and GC is sure to get shafted but I'll still watch.

They only showed some of the categories, and 3 of the seven or eight nominees for each. You have to vote at spiketv.com.
