View Full Version : Dashboard...
A pointless waste of resources or do you find any particular widgets useful?
It has to be said, I've honestly used Dashboard for no more than five minutes.
Is there any way of disabling it in Activity monitor?

I think it's useful. I disabled it on my Power Mac G3 though. I'd rather use the CPU cycles elsewhere.

If I could run 10.4 I would deff run the one that checks for gmail, weather (local, home, international)...those two come to mind.
I'm glad that it can be turned off, but I'm sure that there's a lot of people out there don't know how to. It would be nice for Apple to give people an easier option for turning it on and off.
EDIT :: Done. I'm sure it doesn't take up an awful lot of resources, but I guess anything helps on my wee iBook.:)

Hmm, Looks like I touched a nerve there. Sorry, I will try to be more sensitive to your needs in the future.
(that is from a canned response widget.)

I used to use a lot of Widgets, but I don't need them as much anymore. There's a trillion widgets out there though...you're bound to find at least one you think is cool.
