I don't know about you all, but as nice as the iMacG5/intel is I still really like the looks of the iMac G4 the most.

I always thought that the 20th anniversary edition macintosh was quite cool when it came out, still looks pretty good today.

As for the best, I'd say...

Powermac G5 still does it for me...:)

Dual optical drive bays, DDR RAM, FW800, and space for 4 internal drives.

I have more high resolution shots of other Macs too.

There's a sea off 300 boring black Dell's in college, we have three Powermac G5's. Three. Should be the other way around really.:)

I remember when our elementary school only had Macs. The lab, the teachers, macs were everywhere. I hated it, they always froze on me, it was inconvinent, and just a hassle to use in general. Everyone hated them and when I finally went to Jr. High where we had PC's, ohh man. So sweet.

It's whats on the inside that counts ;).

Now, I don't know much about computers so don't respond to this with Apple specs and all that other nonsense.

You always say that these Macs you used were always crashing, but they didn't have OSX on them did they?:)

Again, if it's what's on the inside that counts then it should still be the other way around.;)

Seriously, if you're not using OS X then you shouldn't complain about Macs crashing.

I use 8.6 and 9.2.1 and they're sluggish and crash prone. The only time I've ever had a kernel panic is while trying to mount a drive during a system update.

I used 8 and 7 a long ass time ago and I don't ever recall a kernel panic/crash whatever yah wanna call it. The only problem I ever recall is in 9.2 it never would open both Photoshop & IE so that both were viewable IE always crashed...but hey thats IE and given this was on a tangarine iBook...but hey

I'm usually just running iCab with tons of RAM allocated to it. I might have Audion playing at the same time. Page rendering eats a lot of CPU power on Macs.

Webkit seems to suffer but Gecko derived browsers work just fine. Camino seems to give me the fastest page loads follow by Shiira.

I like the look of the G5 - all metallic looking, but I really love Eidorian's dual 5.25 and quad 3.5 bay machine.

How could I forget this? The Aquarium is very cool looking, thought I'd throw the Black pro mouse in for good measure, always really liked it for some reason.

I've messed w/cubes before..and while I do like their looks I don't like how the ports are set up or its annoying way of getting at anything on the inside.

I love he Pro Mouse and the older keyboard form a few years back. (Black keys, acrylic boarder)

But the Macintosh Plus makes a sexier fish tank.

We use the PowerMac G4s in my school common area. The one Eidorian posted is that model, mirror-drive doors, dual 1 Ghz. However they're so abused by people everyone complains they're slow, even though it's because the tech department could care less about them :( But recently they put Tiger on them and people have started to change minds. As for me, my iMac G5 17" is the sexiest thing since Jennifer Lopez. OK, maybe not that sexy, but still a great looking machine and a beast at the same time. I also love the design of the PowerMac G5

I just bought myself a sexy iMac G4 800 w/SuperDrive. I might upgrade it to a x16 Super Drive one day.

That is close - there was a time I think just before Jobs returned where Apple had full tower macs. Also during this time Apple allowed third party companies to make Apple computers like how PCs have been done for years. I do not know what they are called but I think it was around 1998 - 99.

The first thing Jobs did when returning was stopping those towers and third party built macs.

Jobs dumped all the shit that wasn't making money.Yeah, licensing off the Mac OS wasn't making Apple as much money and it would have made if it sold the machines as well.
