Intel Friday demonstrated its first quad-core x86 processor – an early production sample of its “Clovertown” device that is due in early 2007.
The company’s CTO demonstrated the device at 65 nanometers as part of a larger discussion of the company’s long-term plan to develop scalable, energy efficient devices over the next decade that use tens to hundreds of cores, according to Intel.
