1.67 -> 1.83 GHz
1.83 -> 2.0 GHz

And there's an option to bump up the 2.0 GHz version to 2.16 GHz. It's $300 though. Ouch

I can't believe it's an extra $300 for a .16Ghz improvement.:(

I can't believe it's an extra $300 for a .16Ghz improvement.:(The wholesale price difference between the 2.00 and 2.16 GHz is rather steep for 160 MHz.

Core Duo prices (per CPU, in 1000-unit quantities)
Core Duo T2600 2.16 $637
Core Duo T2500 2.00 $423
Core Duo T2400 1.83 $294
Core Duo T2300 1.66 $241
Core Solo T1300 1.66 $209
Core Duo LV L2400 1.66 $316
Core Duo LV L2300 1.50 $284

It's Intel shafting you and not really Apple. They don't seem to be producing the higher end chips in as large quantities.

I'm expecting 1.67 GHz Intel iBooks now. :-)

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple Dropped the iBook and just added more price points for PowerBooks. Actually I would.

I'd be surprised as well, I don't expect them to drop the iBook range. I love it's whitey goodness! :)

Ok, I take it back. I think they are going to make Mac mini w/front row so you can have a real media center.

Ok, I take it back. I think they are going to make Mac mini w/front row so you can have a real media center.The Mac Mini DVR would be nice but I don't think there's enough volume in a Mini for it. I expect a slower Intel chips when compared to the iMac. Still, it'll more than likely be single core. It's a switcher, second Mac not a powerhouse workstation.

Apple had a TV Tuner before, so I think they should remake it as a Mac mini add on, like the LaCie Mac mini drive. And they should make a stand alone one as well.
