My Mac's been sluggish lately with 10.4.4. Can anyone suggest I update?

It's really odd that it takes two minutes to boot up using 10.4.4, and Nesman you're saying that your Mac's been really sluggish... My iBook is totally fine. Odd that.

I hope 10.5 is like 10.3 was to 10.2, nothing fancy, just a huge overhaul/performance boost.

There shouldn't me a MS Office Update. When you don't release a stand alone update in 3 years you have made the statement that your product is perfect.

That's not to bad. I've heard some nasty things about killing the Microsoft AU Daemon.

Oh, I hate Entourage. But still, who feels cool running anything 2003?

Oh, I hate Entourage. But still, who feels cool running anything 2003?I see too many people on campus running Entourage. It's scary.

Entourage, something that I never use. I don't even know what it is.

I'll clock my iMac G5's boot time and disable Microsoft AU Daemon. It appears to be related to Entourage and database updates. Considering I don't use Entourage it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Ok, I updated to 10.4.5 and my Mac has been running like its old self again. My boot time isn't very long around 15 seconds or so. But I avoid that hassle by just putting my Mac to sleep, instant wake-up :)

37 seconds from power on to the login screen. I'm happy enough. I killed the Microsoft AU Daemon. That must have been causing issues post 10.4.3.

Some things appear a bit faster with this new OS X update. So far it hasn't messed anything up for me. It was only a 6.4 MB download anyway.

It probably just undoes that X86 hax shit.
