View Full Version : Manchester United 4 - 0 Wigan Athletic
a pretty good final, a well deserved win
Well, it is Wigan... All I can say is that that second spot in the premiership isn't looking too safe.;)
we have a game in hand though, so we're good...plus our next game is against
Wigan hahaha

Andy Gray today confirmed my suspicions that he is a mincer when he complimented Ronaldo's body.
he just said the ref is jealous because his body doesn't look like that...which is true

meh....was a one sided final and well deserved by utd althought i wanted them to lose and expected abit more from wigan, but experiece was definetly a key factor in the game.
And i man utd won't be secound for very long, i can guarantee that they have tough games after wigan and liverpool have now got there tough games out the way....will be a race to the end....But most importanly arsenal are shit and are goona finish 5th :)
we play newcastle, west brom, birmingham, west ham, bolton, arsenal sunderland, spurs, boro, chelsea then charlton
you still have arsenal and newcastle plus your European matches
looks easier for us to be honest

Kinda gay that Nistelrooy was on the bench still after Utd were 4 up, he should have at least had a chance to come on. Hopefully he wont be thinking of leaving cuz of this....
i dont think he'll leave after missing one game...plus we still have Rossi

He was left out as saha is inform that was all nothing to look into, he wont leave as to be honest i can't really see any big team wanting him and apart from chelsea no-one could afford what they will want.
And yes utd have easier games, but they slip up in small games
Fergie would sell him for less than he bought him for...Milan and Monaco I believe have shown interest, in time i think Rossi will be better anyways

£10million he is willing to accept, if you believe the tabloids. Bargain if you ask me.

Im sorry but ruud is not worth 10mill, when he first joined utd yes he was worth that and more but he has maybe a a couple seasons left in him, and in those he will not perform like he has throughout his past years at utd, bigger and better strikers will come through the ranks and like the rest, cantona etc ruud will fade away and join a foreign team...maybe monaco as crow said as i highly doubt with shevcehenko, vieri and inzaghi ruud would get a first team place Milan, he isnt good enough anymore. He is a clinical finisher yes and would be a good asset to any team, but he is not worth 10mill, not for his age.
And as for rossi, he May grow to be a better player, but i dont see much in him atm, and i can imagine utd bringing in a more known striker as it has been proven that youngsters can't win the big tropies (proven at arsenal incase your wondering), experience is always better than age, which is why i can imagine united going for someone big in the summer...maybe even Ronaldo as he has hinted he could leave madrid.
Ronaldo would be pointless....why get rid of a thirty year old top premiership striker for a 29 year old who's never played in the league?
but how isn't he good enough anymore? he's scored more goals than Henry this season...10 million is a bargain, but then again Utd always sell players cheap
Veron, Stam, Beckham, Forlan etc etc etc

Yes he's scored alot this season like i said he's a prolific goalscorer, but compare his performances to his of the last few seasons?....
He has scored more than henry for many reasons.
1 - Ruud has better players around him who can actually deliver a cross, or play balls into the right areas for him to score.
2 - He is a completly diffrent type of striker to henry, ruud plays in the box 100% of the time, henry plays in it and out of it, if u look at stats henry has also assisted to alot of goals.
3 - United are on better form than arsenal this season, so ofcourse ruud is goona get more goals than henry, this again comes down to the quality of balls played.
4 - Henry is continusosly forced to create a goal himself out of nothing, ruud isnt.
5 - Ruud has a worldclass striker partner...henry doesnt
Yes, he is a good striker probably one of the best in the prem but he is nowhere near as good as he used to be imo, i dont think he is worth 10mill to a foreign club as foreign football is completly dfrnt to english and it only suits some players, such as forlan done shit for utd goes to spain and he wins the golden boot.
As for ronaldo, he is still a worldclas striker, obviously not as good as he used to be but that comes with age, he is the type of striker who could perform in the premiership and i think he will come to england in the summer and will be a brilliant asset to whoever buys him.
but he's a similar sort of player to Rooney, which would leave Utd without a targetman...

I wouldnt really call him a 'target man' he doesnt win many airial balls, he is more a stiker like teddy sheringham, in the right place at the right time. But even if they sold him they could EASILY replace him, even with chelsea being the top team now alot of players would still want to play for utd and they have more than enough money to splash out on a stiker but even if they dont buy than they still have saha...rossi....smith, they have alot of strikers, ruuds a good player but utd proved in the carling cup final they can play well without him and fergie knows that otherwise he wouldnt drop him.
I would NEVER compare ruud to rooney personally, ruud can't run with the ball at his feet he can't strike from outside the box (bar a few goals) he can't hit a volley like rooney can...rooney is an all round striker just like henry, ruud isnt.
Ruud is pretty good with the ball actually, he doesn't run with it because he's basically just their to finish the job...fortunately Christiano seems to have had shooting lessons of recent though

Yea, i actually wonderd that....he's suddenly improved, ronaldo is world class he just needs to learn to cut out the tricks as when a game needs to be won, the way the goals are scored doesnt matter....He seems to believe the fifa street phrase since he is the main character on number 2
"It's not how many you score, it's how you score"
As for ruud i hate his first touch, from what iv seen of him he has a poor first touch and lacks control with shots from distance
