Basically getting this tomorrow...

Records in both + and -

I'll be getting a pack of 10 RW discs, but I'm not sure whether to get +RW or -RW. The manual says it automatically finalises + discs while - discs have to be manually finalised, making + simpler to se I guess. But is there anything else that should affect my decision?

PS, we have a Philips DVD player and a PlayStation 2 in the house, both play + and - discs.

+ is better.

It can be played on more units than - can.

Aren't most dual format players anymore? So I'm not sure that really matters in a decision there.

Most current players will accept either but just in case anyone has an older player, + make the best choice and it's default anyway.

I like DVD-R's for single but for rewriteables go with DVD+RW.

I keep a couple of both around at all times. If I am unsure of the player that I will use with the disc, I usually go -. However, I perfer to go + when I know it will be alright.
