is absolutely incredible!
I'm 10% of the way through. Here are my first impressions:
1. Not surprisingly, it feels like Splinter Cell. There is a tutorial "mission" (no actual missions in this game) where they explain the moves while you play. Only unlike Splinter Cell, this one moves fast and is quite thrilling. Another similarity to SC would be the whole trial-error thing. Not nearly as bad here, but if platforming isn't your thing, you're in for challenge.
2. The Music is unbelievable. Rock + Persian R&B + Indian Classical = extremely awesome music. Play it loud.
3. A cross between Eternal Darkness and Zelda. The tone is a lot like ED and the combat shares some resemblence with both ED and Zelda. For example, you have a finish move like ED, and a targeting system like Zelda. And Prince (main character) looks pretty cool doing his combos.
4. Good voice acting. Again, a similarity to Eternal Darkness. Narration within the game is key here.
5. Graphics look really sweet. Are they Metroid-mind-blowing? No. But the Persian/Indian style has been incorporated well. Some hot Persian/Indian girls too.
So, bottom line is: Get this game. Could very well be GOTY (ubi soft again?) If I had to compare Zelda and PoP, though, the former comes out on top, only because PoP is already starting to feel a little claustrophobic (like its predecessors I suppose).
