I'm taking this animation and film making class called "Multimedia & Computer Art." It's a single semester course and a recently we finished our first project: a hand-drawn three frame looping gif.

I got a pretty high grade on it(98), so I thought I'd share it with you guys. I wouldn't say that it's very impressive, but it's mildly interesting nonetheless.

Anyway:

Note: Drawing is not my forte.

It is cool. Id love to have a class where we have to make a gif. I would make something over the top and spend too much time on it. How long did it take you to do that? Or how long were you given?

That's my style in a nutshell but includes more "dicking around".

We were given two weeks, but I finished in one.

Our next project is super rad. It's supposed to be a minute and a half animation complete with dialogue and music. I, being an ambitious man, have decided to do something more complex than anything my teacher has seen attempted. Essentially, my animation is about an evil genius going nuts and unleashing his giant, steam-powered robot on the city of Tokyo. Everyone else is doing things like, "A guy goes on a rollercoaster and some dude throws up on him lolo," so I guess you could say that mine's comparitively in-depth.

In a month or so I should be finished. I'll be sure to share it with you guys.

I guess I deserve this seeing how I'm still "unofficially" working on your avatar for the Vector thread.

Okay. I'm about a quarter of the way through animating this thing, and it has just dawned on me that I'm going to need a bunch of japanese voices, since my animation takes place in Tokyo (I plan on using english subtitles for that "imported from Japan" effect).

So yeah, if anyone knows where I could get maybe a japanese voice over from a movie, or a cheap DVD I could buy that has a japanese setting, that'd be nice. I would rather like to avoid having to "fake it."

you can find any number of anime's that have japananse voices as long as your not worried that they what they say has anything to do with what is actually going on.

Are we talking free, here?

If so, where can I get these?

Yes we are talking free and legal as most are never licensed in the us thus free fan subs.

Bittorrent is your friend here. Here is a site which as far as I can tell holds no US licensed animes. Never bothered to watch any of them so can't tell ya about the quality. http://www.animesuki.com/

Bleach has some decnt voices and is free as well. Damn never mind seems it was licensed march 15 sweet.

I need some manly voices. Like, from military guys for example.

Know of anything like that I could find at this AnimeSuki place? Or anywhere?

Dralor

I don't recall any yet to be licensed that and the Japanese tend to have higher voices it seems but I guess the best bet would either be asking the rest of the Anime buffs or just try them at random though that would definately be the hard way.
