The American bit of Ubisoft has reportedly denied the contents of a release schedule that lists a bunch of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Revolution games, quite a few of which haven't been announced yet.
The schedule originally appeared on GamePro.com last week, listing 12 PlayStation 3 games, many of which were also pegged as due on Revolution, Xbox 360, handhelds and, in some cases, PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
Several of the alleged PS3 games were set for release in November, according to the document - a date that would fit in with some industry commentators' predictions of when we can expect an American PS3 release.

However GamePro.com subsequently removed the list after Ubisoft got in touch and "categorically denied" its contents. We couldn't get anything that authoritative out of Ubisoft UK sadly - just the usual stuff about not being able to comment on rumours.
So obviously we don't feel too bad about reprinting the thing in full. It's probably all bollocks, but then sometimes people just say that to cover their arses, don't they?
The supposedly discredited release schedule:
July 2006: Enchant Arms (Xbox 360)
November 2006: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 5 (PS3, Xbox 360, Rev, PSP)
November 2006: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (PS3)
November 2006: Rayman 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, Rev, PS2, Handheld)
November 2006: Blazing Angel 1.5 (PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox)
February 2007: Brothers in Arms 3 (Xbox 360, Rev, PS2, NDS)
February 2007: Brothers in Arms 2: Earned in Blood (PSP)
March 2007: Tom Clancy's Firehawk (PS3, Xbox 360)

March 2007: Naruto (Xbox 360)
March 2007: Assassin (PS3, Xbox 360, Rev, PSP)
Spring 2007: Game 5 (PS3, Xbox 360)

so whats going on. who can we trust anymore?Nobody! Just take a look at all the misinformation and "confirmed" or "official" rumours that there are in the news these days. And of course, this doesn't apply to PS3 exclusively, but to every single subject there is in the world. Since a long, long time ago.
this is not something to take as facts, as I statd in the previous thread, these are games that will most likely be made. the question is launch dates. of course there will be anohter Call of Duty game, another Splinter Cell, another this or that. these are all big selling franchises on multiple platforms.
by they way, I am eagerly awaiting my Prince of Persia next-gen!

Didn't Ubisoft say they werent going to make any more Prince of Persia games? Could be wrong though, developers usually say its over....then bam! They came out with another sequel.
Hideo Kojima comes to mind with his precious MGS series. ;)

As I heard it they were done with that story, and if there is another Prince of Persia it will have another star, as the next Metal Gear will after MGS4.

of course there will be another Prince game. it is only one of Ubi's biggest franchises!
what they said is the arc story of the current triology has ended. they will begin a new arc.
as for Kojima, he never said the end of MGS. he only says he doesn't want to be reponsible for every nook and crany- which is quite understandable.

Ha ha. Right you are, Z. I forgot about that. I must have taken the words out of context.
Silly me.
hey, gaming's real acrobat free-running circus freak star athlete is here to stay!
besides, there is no one else that even comes close to them. next to him, every other character feels like a 70 year-old weelchair wannabe. I am looking at you Lara Boob Raider! the 90s are over sweatheart. take you pills and start acting your age granny. you're not fooling anyone with those...

never discount Lara! and as far as Prince is concerned they lost me with the second game. i bought a little known title called God of War and never looked back. that did everything Prince did but better. okay it doesn't play in exactly the same way but it felt similar. sort of a cross between Prince and DMC. and the new Tombraider game looks as if its a lot better visually than Prince. so i don't care one iota if we ever get another Prince game, its dead already to me. EA want shooting. look what they did to Tricky. no wander their floundering at the moment.

I've never been too fond of the Ubisoft games. I tried Splinter Cell, but couldn't get into it. Ghost Reacon and Rainbow six didnt do it for me either.
I never played Prince of Persia, though I've heard its good from a number of critics. But God of War and Devil May Cry are the real heavy hitters that do it for me. I can't get enough of beating up Hyrdas or slicing grim reapers inhalf with a slick sword combo.

if you have never played beyond good and evil i advise you to go out and buy it tomorrow. it was the title that made Ubisoft famous and its a gem. you'd buy it for next to nothing too. trust me. then they signed with EA and 'what the f**k happened'. Devil and God! like your style Junox.
notice I didn't say 'fighter' or 'action'. I said acrobatics and free-running. in that respect, no one even comes close to the Prince. by the way, do you realize that although he is the main character and hero, they never gave him a name. O_o

Ah yes, Beyond good and evil. I've heard of that game. It was one of those good rarities that came out under the radar, yet didnt sell as much. I've always wanted to try that game out since its release, but I never got around to it. I either had no money to spend at the time, or I was focused on getting an entirly different game.
It's probably in the bargain bin somewhere. I might go and see if I can pick it up one of these days.
Thanks, Cliffy.
