possible PS3 edition FFXII?

relising that the first game that i probley will buy for the PS3 is actualy a PS2 game. i wonder if FFXII will take advantage of the new hardware.

there would be the obvioius higher rez but how hard would it be to say use the higher poly count charecters from the CG portions throw in some HRD lighing and use the uncompressed textures from the sorce data seems like to me that this could quickly be implemented.

any insights from the technicly minded?

for all we know a lot of titles may have embedded textures and HRD lighting, ready and waiting. like the god of war series for instance.

There will always be 3 FF's on each new system. This has been true since the NES days, and Nomura-san want's to keep it that way.
So, a no go for FFXII on PS3. Though several sites mention that it would benefit from the faster loading speeds(*hint*it'saprettyslowloader*hint*).

I meant NEW TITLES. Plus, FFT and FFCC doesn't count, as they're not part of the main series(I-XII).:shifty:

I don't really agree with this, but I would admit that FFXI is, after all, a canonical main series FF game. Even if it is just for the sake of having that "XI" on its title.

Let's hope from now on there won't be another online FF with a canonical number.

I'm with you on that one, MMO's are cool, and one of the cool things is they can be constantly changed, therefore there is no reason to make another for a while, if ever.

X-2 doesn't count, dirge of cerberus & Crisis Core(PSP) neither. XI does count, however. It was mostly made to practice before making FFXII.
