Auto play makes my computer stop

whenever i put a game in my computer with an auto play thing it stops and i have to 'end process' thing at the ctrl-alt-del place. So far it happens with FEAR and TrackMania... And it happened with FEAR before i got my new graphics card, so it isnt that.

I can just go Right Click>Open on the D: drive and install with the thing in there, but all some of these auto play things make my computer all messed up for a couple mins. Any ideas on how to stop it?

Well the easiest thing would be to just turn off Autoplay, but that is more of a bandaid rather than a sollution.

can you change one thing (in options or something) for every CD you put in? or is it something ill have to do for each one?

Go to my computer, Go to the particular CD/DVD drive you want to do this for, right click on it and go to properties. Click on the Autoplay tab, then select each item that you want to disable autoplay from the drop down box, click the radio button for "Select an action from the list" and then change it to "take no action" or perhaps "open folder".

Repeat steps if you have multiple drives, and your done.
