new gfx card advice [Archive]

Guys, I am in a bit of a quandry. I want a new gfx card to play Oblivion on. I can get a used 6800 ultra for about £100, a little less than a new 7600GT(£130-150). Can someone advise me which card I would be better off with, or maybe even a different card. Bear in mind that the card must be SM3.0 compatible as I love the look of HDR - bloom just don't cut it IMO.

i would recommend spending a little extra and getting the 7900GT.......

Yeah I would go for that card, but the 7900gt is more than twice as expensive as either of those two cards and I really need to save up for university. What do you guys think to the two I suggested?

well the 7600 is definately going to out do the 6800, but you can go to TOMS HARDWARE and see for youself
