New PC now ? or wait for Vista ?

I have a P4 2gig 512 RAM PC, bought it back in 01, it has a 5600 128mb ultra card, fine for playing games a few years old , but Oblivion - forget about it !

So , I got about a grand (sterling) to spend, should i get a PC now and upgrade to Vista when released or simply wait till jan next year ? Apparantly Vista will improve Gfx performance etc etc ?

Wait until a medium graphics card comes out that can handle Unreal Engine 3 just fine (after UT2007 comes out). That way you'll get the most bang for your buck. It's not a smart idea to make a PC in the middle of a hardware transition like this one.

If I were u I wouldnt buy Vista cuz the requirements gets too high when u get to install those service packs! also all the resources that the this OS will eat will be astronomical high so my advice will be DONT BUY VISTA! but I u feel like it is ok too hehe!
