4. Simon Carter and 5. Dene Carter

Who are they?
The lead programmer and lead designer (respectively) at Big Blue Box Studios, an independent developer owned by Peter Molyneux's Lionhead Studios.

Brothers, yes?
Correct-and they're also the two chief people behind Fable, one of the most ambitious RPGs ever attempted. Grand Theft Auto may simulate a city with an emphasis towards car crashes and fistfighting, but Fable is trying to simulate your entire life. Plus, it looks very pretty. If it doesn't get delayed any longer, this could be the RPG to own in 2004.

Why is Fable on the Xbox only?
"Because," says Dene, "if you could see what our game would have to look like on one of the other consoles, you'd not recognize it." A PC port is slated for the future, though.

Random "Good lord, they thought of everything" factoid
In Fable, if you build an evil enough main character, not only will townspeople run away from him on sight, but he'll also be served free ale at the bar-because the master's too scared for his life to charge you money.

Yeah.... :evillaugh

That's nice. But it was built from the ground-up with the Xbox controller in mind.

I saw this a while ago, but I'm glad someone posted it.

Yay!

Oh yeah, it's not slated for PC release. Mr. Petey M said he wouldn't "rule out" a PC version just yet, so they are assuming one is coming - but nothing has been announced yet.

kthx bye.

Find me the "Fable announced for PC" PR, and then get back to me. :)

yes... so that means that we can all enjoy Xbox's best to offer without ever owning an Xbox. Splinter Cell, Fable, Halo, and soon to be Doom 3.
Man what a sorry excuse for exclusives...Meanwhile you'll never see any of Nintendo's superb 1st party and 2nd party games outside of a Nintendo console

Doom III will just be a half-assed port. And let's not forget KOTOR, Rallisport, Deus Ex, Half-Life 2, and Morrowind. :p Actually, even Rainbow Six 3 is pretty much based upon the earlier PC version of the game.

Rainbow Six 3 is a joke on the PC compared to the Xbox version. Deus Ex: IW and SW: KOTOR are both rated a couple percent higher on the Xbox than their PC counterparts.

You dont neccessarily need a press release ... but no need to argue, lets just wait and see what happens.

Who cares if all these games are going to PC. I like them better on a console, and most people that own an Xbox think the same way. All you Nintendo fanboys are just jerks who try to bash the Xbox at every chance, and then if a person who likes Xbox says anything bad about Nintendo, you jump on their case. Hypocrites.

I love Nintendo, you love Nintendo. Everyone loves Nintendo. Give your Xbox bashing a rest, please.

I don't like games on PC.

Maybe it's 'cause I'm running at 733mhz with virtually no video card, lowest memory possible and 56k.

Just maybe.

Any PC game that needs a controller gets a zero from me. :P

Well my PC is fairly new, so I don't mind games coming to it (like GTA 3, Final Fantasy VII, and so on).

And I could almost guarantee that those same kids grew up with Super Nintendo, or depending on how old you are, the NES.

I cant stand playing games on the PC, especially morrowind.....i love that game on the xbox. As do I with rainbow Six 3, 13 and probably Fable. I prefer lying down on my bed playing games then in a sort of unconfortable PC chair along side endless piles of my dads papers....

Yea, I don't really think this will go to the PC. It was built for the Xbox specifically.

There is no way my computer could handle Fable, a 32 MB card wouldn't be enough. Other then that, this is one of the most anticipated titles of 2004 and I for one am getting it.

whether it goes to pc or not, i doubt it will be at the same time. i dont want to wait a few months to play it on my pc. i prefer playing games on consoles, and i do for the most part. except for some of the strategy titles, wish some of those could find their way to a console.
