McAfee trouble

So I bought McAfee Internet Security Suite 2006 and installed VirusScan and, well, the entire suite. One day VirusScan turned itself off and decide that I had to buy it again. I re-installed it and it works fine.. But now my AntiAbuse Index is all the way down because the same thing happened to my Privacy Service. Wtf? Am I supposed to buy this shit multiple times or something?

Thats sucks I haven't installed an anti virus program for 3 years. Due to the fact I know what I getting and know how to block ports etc. but then again on my windows machine I reformat every 3 months.

get avast! antivirus or AVG antivirus, both free and are more efficent than mcfee

I had Bitdefender for about two years now, and I still get updates every hour. I only bought that product once.

I have stayed away from McAfee for years now. Never liked it, and still don't today. I would recommend a switch, but since you paid for it already, I am sure you don't want to now.

Have you tried...
On the privacy service, have you tried the "re-run the configuration assistant" as that may help sort a few problems out.

And theres a few configure buttons on the main "security centre" page.

But i've had no problems with mine.
