Don't bother asking where I heard this from. It's pretty damn reliable and I can't help but feel excited inside.

A credible person said this at beyond3d.

No, a credible person did not say this; AlphaSpartan did.

Half of that stuff is obvious enough anyway - the other half BS, like a 32PS RSX.

Do u remember when a dev from nvidia talked about RSX and said 32 pipes?

Something is wrong with only 24 pipes, cause g71 have 278M Transistors, and RSX have more than 300 Millions transistors and does not have Pure Videos and things like that.

The NVidia engineer 32-pipe thing was mentioned in a single EETimes interview I believe, and never further coroborated. Honestly I think it was a mistake in the article. I agree with you that there's something different about RSX vs G71, but with the specs for RSX that were given at GDC, it just doesn't seem to jive with a 32 pipe chip.

This is my theory - some person or individuals did some research on what the most likely plausible-sounding PS3 'things' would be and created a list to 'leak.' Again it's not that a lot of these things sound like BS - it's that together it just doesn't fit. Not to mention AlphaSpartan's explanation as to how he got the information ranks a 9 out of 10 on the bogus-meter.

He's traditionaly a Playstation hater - why in the world would a legitimate inside source give him that sort of infomation?

Europe delayed till 07 (Worldwide launch confirmed...So, BS)
No online at launch (Also confirmed....So, BS)
Killzone to exceed the last trailer shown (Already admitted they were pre-rendered....So, BS)

Forget the RSX rumours that are mentioned. Just those three basic things being wrong show this is BS.

32 shaders possible, if no vertex shader, no purevideo, no cache but edram

but g71 in pc has 50 GB/sec memspeed for 24 shaders, for 32 need more bandwith..

Revenge, by the way I didn't mean to come down on you hard just for posting this, I just wanted to frame the context of the origins before PSINext turned into a generator for it's spread throughout the Internet. :)

I don't mind dicussion of these points, just as long as it's understood that the rumor itself is not a self-sustaining source of credibility.

Seriously, I'm tired of the haters and their viral marketing, it's like they're just throwing a bunch of rumors out there and try to waste people's time, I don't care whether this is their job or they're simply doing it for free, this stuff has to stop.

without a credible source, anybody can write up a list. there for, it's locking time.
