We've got to arrange PS3's E3 coverage here. I see potential for 50 different threads when we learn more about PS3 in the next two weeks, so we'd better think of something or we must get ready for chaos in this forum. We know many members, newbies or not, are going to post the same thing many times, so expect 200 new threads.

Let's create single threads where the first regularly updated post will contain many direct download links or similar when possible. We should recruit a few members (those with the fastest internet access?) to create an upload army in order to make as much available footage and pictures as possible, either using private servers or sites like megaupload.com. Youtube feeds for 56k users too.

Just hoping for the best availability of PS3 goodness :) Please share your ideas for this purpose.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from VG Aficionado. It's going to be, very, very busy. I'll be around to try and post the latest news etc so count me in if help is needed.

Maybe four different threads all set to sticky:
E3-techology news
E3-game news
E3-general news
E3-everything else news

And a mgs4 thread, all to its self >:3

I kid, I kid.
Hawk's got the right idea though.

I'd say we'd have to keep it as simple as possible.

What about:

- PS3 E3 2006 video coverage, with audience or direct feed trailers and footage
- PS3 E3 2006 photo coverage, with hardware (console and controller, slides, etc) and software (games, online platform, etc) subsections
- PS3 E3 2006 news articles, with every other written media (interviews, live coverage, etc)

Not that I'm not saying there shouldn't be more threads to discuss every topic we want (specific games, the new controller, etc.). I just mean we should centralize all the videos, pictures and news so that it's all handy and not spread over the forums and making many people unable to learn about many things.

I never thought I'd say this, but that video was so lame, I'd compare it almost to MTV.

^Lmao, I'm glad someone said it. :)

Its Sony......they'd better have exclusive coverage of their own news conference.

I clicked the link, not thinking there'd really be anything on the website. But a heads up or a banner. Then I noticed a video was loading. I used my vast deductive skills to determine that:
-E3 isn't here yet
-and yet, a video clip persist to load itself onto my browser
Thus:
-it must be stupid hype shit
I then proceeded to close the window before it even started.

I was never a much of a fan of Diane Mizota on G4, but I guess it's nice to see she found a gig after G4 decided to dump games coverage and become like Spike TV's retarded little brother.

Man, I hate Diane Mizota's seriously annoying voice, That is as far as I got in that video, when she started talking.

Well, I'd hit it. But yeah, she's very annoying and I can generally do without banter like that.

I actually liked the childish humour there. As long as they keep PS3 info flowing with dash of humour I'm ok with it.

I've understood that last year and earlier Sony almost didn't have any E3 video coverage at all, so any E3 video is good in my eyes.

Still kinda sure that we'll get the best material from Empire camera / journalist team :)

MTV is much worse in that it thinks it's being awesome... G4 stuff is silly just to be silly. I don't really feel like going on a rant about how ridiculously lame MTV shows are, but I definitely say it can be worse and this is much better than any MTV garbage like the XBox 360 unveiling. yuck.

Awesome! Bookmark'd.

The ending was a little lame though... actually, the whole video was pretty cheesey but I hope we get some good coverage.

I'm also behind this idea.
- PS3 E3 2006 video coverage, with audience or direct feed trailers and footage
- PS3 E3 2006 photo coverage, with hardware (console and controller, slides, etc) and software (games, online platform, etc) subsections

I find this very encouraging:

They better not let us down.

It should go like this: E3 comes, beans are spilled, we'll get peace of mind and can go into hibernation until November with a smile on our lips. :snooze:

I hope I don't have to put up with those two in the vid everytime a new info comes in...

the problem with having seperate E3 threads is that the content would be cross posted. for example; you talk about a game news in the E3 game thread. the video if the same game would be posted in another thread. while the pics of the same game would be pasted on a third thread.

I think it is better to do what we did with GDC; have a general E3 thread. if some news, games, announcements, etc. are big enough, we can have their own threads.
