Hmm I was pondering that myself. I was like WTF? Then I just said hey Im talking about Polyphony here. Since it was just a non-playable intro they were able to push some neat effects.

edit:Hey, isnt it CG?

Ummmm... I was under the impression that Tourist Trophy is for PS2. And the commercial contains a segment of video that isn't by any means, in-game.

JaxmkII, hello? :)

Care to elaborate further? The title is fairly misleading, I believe some people may get their hopes up for something else.

The realtime segments definitely look very impressive though.

Are you talking about the introduction movie to Tourist Trophy for PS2? Well its a CG movie that was pre-rendered if thats what you mean, it has no relation to PS3, GT4 had the same thing, although, I wouldnt be suprised if GT5 looked alot like the CG part of the GT4 introduction movie.

^^^ GT4s opening film displayed no HRD.

ok there is no link i was making an observation from the intro movie of TT. i was noteing there seems to be alot of HDR in the intro. it must of been made on PS3 hardware than ported as a "CG" to the ps2.

That is just stupid. A PC used for video editing and things can also use HDR lighting.

The very first part of the intro is CG then it cuts to real-time (though not necessarily "in-game"). Similar to GT3's Toyota Supra CG then cuts to real-time and GT4's Ford GT CG then cuts to real-time (again, "real-time" but not necessarily mean "in-game"). So the movie is like "in-game" on steroid. Similar to how GT4's Photo Mode soup up AA.

I truely believe this has nothing to do with PS3 (although I would wish that running TT or other PS2 games on PS3 would improve things like AA, among other things).
