I'm shocked there's so much hype for this title it's past crazy...
I think many want to see Sony fail and a few are really interested in the title.

Fake or not its great, so much hype is built up already that the real thing is going to be awesome.

USA Today has apparently leaked the first in-game screenshot!

Some info:

Description: The video game media salivated over the Hollywood-blockbuster-like video clip of this game at the 2005 E3, and Sony has been mum about details. Now it's hoping this futuristic first-person shooter will propel sales of PlayStation 3.

The action takes you and your squad of commanders to the planet Helghan to defeat the mutated human Helghast race, but it's not just straight-ahead combat.

Yup, its real. A bit early, but its real. Not photoshopped, in-game etc. 100% real. Shame about the size. They could have linked to a better, less squished size.

EDIT: When I say "early" I mean, "released early in the day", and not "an early build". The screenshots were taken on the latest version of the game as it was on Saturday.

I say 2008 because it's still pre-prealpha. There's a lot of experimental Edge tech in it as well, and the first titles which will really benefit from it won't be out before next year or very luckily in the last couple months of this year.
