Really great pics there Viper. Looks like a nice place to vacation. It's always nice to have a good place to vacation with the family.

What camera did you use to take the pictures?

I have actually looking into buying a Hasselblad HD1 which is a 26 Mp digital camera but I haven't been able to find one lower than $18,000.00

If you like forestry like that, you'd enjoy Florida. It's maritime forests are all like that. The roads are completely covered by the tree top canopy.

haha you'd be able to see the texture on an airplane in the sky with that!...or perhaps not.

I've been wanting to take a trip to Florida, but until I'm done with school and get a really good job, I won't be able to travel anywhere.

Yeah, I noticed the thread title would probably make some think of an actual 'vacation home'. I consider the Northeast section of Florida to be home.

There is a story with that one.

That pier is 1/4 mile long and we were near the entrance at 2:30 AM taking the shots. The pic you quoted has no zoom to it and appeared the pier was empty (plus no cars in the lot but ours and you can't walk to it). The very next shot was one I zoomed in on and we saw this:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y122/viperempire/P4200385edit.jpg

We saw that on the LCD screen and the hair on the back of our neck stood up. One second, there is no one and 3 seconds later two people are suddenly there. If you click the full size link just below the first pic, you can barely see them.

Turns out the end of the pier has broken lights and as far as we could guess they were back there taking the natural course of things.

I've got a foggy one you might like too. The pier keeps going for a few hundred more feet into the fog back there.
