For those who are interested in the 21st Bond movie, which will turn back the clock and focus on Bond's first assignment as 007, check it out. Looks like we have some impressive stunts coming our way. As for Daniel Craig as Bond, well, at least I can picture him holding the gun.

Enjoy.

same here man....that was it....he just looks too insane to be Bond.

......and I was one of the few that thought he could be good as Bond. Now I'm not so sure.

He'll certainly be a darker Bond. Not as much as Dalton, but pretty close. That warped look almost seems right since this will be his "first" mission as 007. Maybe they can clean him up a little more for Bond 22.

Layer Cake nuff said.

As for Craig as Bond? Hellz yah. Finally a tough Bond like Connery was. I HATED every Bond after Connery except Moore, and he ws just passable. Craig is slick and tough, so bring on the death count and the babes.

I bring up again the fact that Daniel Craig got both of his front teeth knocked out during a fight scene while filming this movie. I bring it up for no good reason other than to point and laugh.

Actually, that report was apparently untrue. Broccoli and Wilson debunked that in Entertainment Weekly. He chipped a tooth, yes, but he didn't get his front teeth knocked out.

I think Craig is a perfect changeup for the Bond role. I can't wait for this movie.

Actually, i think he pulls it off pretty well.

It looks better than Die Another Day at least.

^Thats because 'Die another day' took the 'Batman and Robin' approach which was special effects and a ghey story. That invisible car was the crappest thing ever. This should be good.

invisible cars is the type of shit that happens when Q (R.I.P.) is gone. (And when the plot sucks and relies on visuals.)

Plus, I don't like Halle Berry. Hate me if you want.

I, for one, am excited. I like the fact that they're using the story to transition between the two actors, instead of just throwing Craig out there after Brosnan.

This is the first Bond movie I've ever been excited about.

My reaction to the teaser is that this may well be a return to form for Bond. I really enjoyed Brosnan in Goldeneye, but really haven't greatly enjoyed one of his Bond films since. Not to that degree at least.

It looks like they're trying to go back to Bond basics. Less over-the-top technology. In that one scene, isn't he wearing the same swim trunks Connery wore in one of the classic Bond films?

I've actually gone back and watched the Brosnan movies. Goldeneye is fine, but my biggest problem with the movie is that it takes a couple too many liberties with logic. Two big ones: Explain to me that whole mess with Trevelyan getting shot in the beginning. How did he survive and was he in on the fix from the beginning or what? Never explained in the movie. The other gaffe is the tank ambushing the train. Right... a tank can outrun a missile train. Only in a Bond movie, I guess. It's a good movie even though the story could have used a slightly larger brain.

Tomorrow Never Dies is actually pretty good. It has the best Bond villain of the Brosnan era with Elliot Carver played by Jonathan Pryce with great charisma and panache. The movie never stops for a breath and at under two hours, it is one of the shortest Bond movies. The character of Paris, to me, is a bit superfluous to the plot. With a little careful editing, we could have removed her entirely and maybe sliced another ten minutes. I know they wanted to get into Bond's personal side, but this just feels tacked on. Overall, slightly better than Goldeneye because Brosnan is better in the movie and the story and action scenes are much better on the overall.

The World is not Enough is, IMO, the best of the Brosnan movies. It has the best pre-credits sequence of any Bond movie, for one thing, with an outstanding boat chase. Brosnan plays Bond's dark side to a tee and he really digs into the character. Sophie Marceau is absolutely delicious as Elektra and Robert Carlyle is an interesting three-dimensional villain with a great quirk as a villain unable to feel pain. Denise Richards, well, at least she's good to look at. Robbie Coltrane as Zukovsky makes a great return to the series, playing the character with a unique charisma. The action never stints and we get some new things like going through an oil pipeline.

Die Another Day is the weakest of the Bond movies because it has a Jekyll-and-Hyde quality going on. The first half of the movie--everything before Iceland--is quite intriguing. Bond being captured and going on a revenge mission continues the darker trend that Brosnan has been going on. Then, once we get to Iceland, the tension and entertainment seems to go out the window. Graves is a lackluster villain and the revelation about his true identity seems a little contrived. The chase sequence and the final battle are marred by some really bad CGI. The scenes that bolster this one from the bottom of the scrap heap include the scenes with Q and Moneypenny in addition to an entertaining pre-credits sequence and sword duel.

I'm an avid Bond fan and I do look forward to Casino Royale. Bringing Oscar-winner Haggis aboard for the writing team has to be a bonus.

You know, it's been a long time since I've seen Goldeneye, so I don't recall the beginning with enough clarity to try to answer that question about Trevelyan. I love Sean Bean as the villain though. In my opinion he could have played Bond had he not been cast as the bad guy in that one. As for the tank sequence, unrealistic action sequences are characteristic of Bond movies. The tank scene isn't nearly as unrealistic to me as Bond's highly improbable escape via motorcycle and plane at the beginning.

Yeah. At least they did a good job of selling it.

After watching GoldenEye with audio commentary, it's pretty safe to assume that 006 wasn't working with Orumov at the time, and he DID get shot in the head, but just survived it. And......the explosion...

And yeah, Die Another Day had the potential to be one of the best ever. I mean, he's tortured in the beginning, how awesome is that? But once he got to Cuba everything started going downhill.

Eh. The scenes in Cuba weren't too bad. Him being the rogue agent had a certain level of appeal, working off his wits. The invisible car... you just had a bad feeling about that out of the gate.
