Thats not techno.
More like Euro-dance/trance
Techno doesnt use harmonies like you do.
Techno is kinda raw and freaky in comparison.
Comparing Eurodance with Techno is like comparing "commercial" RnB with "underground" Rap.

^Well said Plebben, it's not like Techno at all.

Fats, that sounds more Gabber to me than Techno.

Obviously around the world the perception is going to be different, but what I posted is generally regarded as Techno within the UK and Europe.

Check www.htfr.co.uk for some examples.

Ok well whatever you want to call it, I think I mentioned somewhere in the descriptions that it was also dance. Actually I think it should have gone into the dance category, but some of them of rather slow, so I didn't know... The program I use IS called Dance Ejay, but it's a pommy program... LOL (no offence to those whom live in that area of the world).

I remember the days I used to use Dance Ejay, goodtimes. That was a long time ago! :)

Yeah well im a pov student with no money to spend on expensive programs. I use Dance 6: The Evolution, it's not SO bad... I used to used 2! LOL... mmm I listened to that techno, and iunno it sounds so... bland, repetitive maybe a different style then what I'm used to... from now on I shall upload as Dance.

Yeah, it's not exactly to my taste either but it seems pretty popular to some people. There's quite a few variations on Techno though, and what I posted is on the heavier side of things.

I think that I used to use Ejay2, I really can't remember though. :)

Ejay2 was so bad... comparing it to Ejay 6 is like comparing The Sims to the The Sims 2...LOL

O Rly? I've never really looked into it, I guess I lost interest after a while (I bought some turntables and decided to go that route instead) but I think that I'll have a wee look at it now! :)

I thought that this is quite a well produced song for Ejay6.

Click me! (http://www.ejay.co.uk/Dance6/uk/mp3/electro.mp3)

Do you not find using Ejay all the time quite repetitive and boring after a while, or is there enough samples to use so that you can create lots of variations?

Well I haven't made very many songs only about 20 or so, and only about 12 of those are completely finished. there quite a few samples, I don't know how many ,000's but its good, and you can edit them to do whatever you want, plus create voices in voice generator.

Alright, how do you move a thread?

Mathx

I moved it to entertainment, didn't seem to fit in the Rap Arena Boards...

This music sounds like something I'd be driving my Ricer to at 3 AM on a desert highway...

Uh... I hope that's a good thing...lol.
It turns out I have at least one truly dedicated fan, he has reviewed all but one of my songs, and liked most of them... wow I feel special now...
Anyway I uploaded my next song as Dance to keep all you guys happy, too bad I can't change the genre of the others...
